Took a few days to sculpt myself a borzoi mask blank, as a treat, after Anthrocon 🤭 My resin/silicone casting room is still occupied by a temporary housemate (which is also the reason I haven't been able to open for resin cast orders this summer) but hopefully will mold this in Aug when she leaves?

The debut of my partial of John Blackfoot at Anthrocon! Polaroids done by @mostlyzoe.bsky.social and suit by @zulayawolf.bsky.social! Well, most of the outfit I scavenged myself! Of course, John stars in my novel Aces High, published by @fenrispublishing.bsky.social and available now! :3

This is my new favorite toy - the Simon Hurley blending brush. I got it specifically for painting the backs of eye mesh black - it has all these microbristles that get into all the grooves fantastically. You're supposed to use it with ink for scrapbooking, but I use it with acrylic paint just fine 🤣

The follow up this morning from the director of @furryweekend.com was about as bad of a non-apology as anyone could ask for. They stated that there were 15 staff on the con and despite having a full time dedicated office and being a for-profit con 🧵

Staff have been disrespectful, patronising, rude, rejected assistance from more competent sources and they have cost vendors thousands of dollars for it. @furryweekend.com some examples. These are also interesting in that many things weren’t communicated to attendees OR vendors about the set up

I cant wait to be blacklisted from FWA for another 4 years. Last time I vended at FWA was the rollover from COVID year - so 2022 - and between being accepted and paying for my table in 2020, and going to the con in 2022, they price hiked the tables and told vendors we had to cough up more money or -
