The second to last boss in a JRPG is almost always better because it usually involves a character that has been critial to the overarching story and has character development and all that. The final boss is almost always God or some nonsense that shows up in the last minute, like why should I care?

One thing that’s key is nice about nostalgia is the greater appreciation of something, like if everything is always something new and different it can become very disposable or surface level. Like many things, there is a balance.

As a kid JRPGs were revelatory for me. I went from playing brutally hard Nintendo games that I couldn’t beat because I lacked the skills, to JRPGs where I could beat them by using my near-infinite free time to make up for my lack of skill.

I think almost all of us need a decent bit of social interaction, even if we are introverted. I’m introverted which means I prefer lower energy, and I need time to be alone to recharge regularly. But after a few days without much interaction I feel stir crazy.

Even as someone who hasn't been in a leadership role like that, it's really easy to fall into that state. I think for years I behaved like this because I wanted to be a good ambassador or something like that. Sometimes I just wonder if that's just a clever justification for good old repression.

The only way social media works in the modern era is with a curated bubble, whenever I look outside of that it’s like a dystopian hellscape. On the plus side, real life is rarely as nightmarish as the socials, and we can still carve out our own little chill spaces here for now.

It is so worth it! I put off going to a hairdresser for years because I was unsure of finding someone who would _get_ it. I found an awesome enby stylist at the local queer hair collective and I always feel so much cuter after they cut and style my hair ❤️

My guess is that practicing/performing online (live) is untenable due to the latency. I always think it would be cool to make a band or play music with furries, but many of the folks I know to do it with live far away.

Blueberry plants are awesome, they are so easy to take care of, are perennial, and the fruit stays good and ripe on the plant for a long time before getting wrinkly/gross.

I tend to play games with friends that are usually the easy pick up and play, Mario Kart (8 and World), Jackbox (no purchase necessary if someone has it). I'll occasionally play stuff like Fortnite casually with friends. Plenty of affordable steam games with friends are good!
