So I've hummed and hawed over the idea of changing Hyacinth's design. I'm not sure if this'll be a proper rebrand or just an alternate form, but I wanted to challenge myself to include all 13 core puppet types in their design, and I'm extremely happy with how it came out. #mlp #oc

Been a while since I highlighted a Puppet type in particular, but I'm very happy with how these guys turned out. Meet the Leviathan! When Hyacinth needs puppets and materiel delivered to a different planet, these're their folks. They're 520 feet tall, so they're top of the tree, size-wise. #mlp #oc

1) Candida stands, content with her status as a "tall GF" given how much taller she is than normal ponies.

So... I know I mostly keep to a certain "character" here on the bluesky, but I want to get this off my chest:

Having used AI in the past does not resign you to never creating of your own accord. It's never too late to pick up a pencil, crack open a coding reference, open up a new word document, install a drawing program of your choice, or whatever else. There are people everywhere who want nothing more than to help you in your endeavors.

I don't want this to come across as just a "repent, sinner!"-esque post, either. It's hard to blame people for wanting to use a tool to make things easier, especially the parts of a process that can be very hard on the mind and soul (the grind of becoming better at our self-articulation).

It's easy to look at something an AI "made" and say it looks better than what we could do. And facing down the idea of giving that up sounds horrific; it's losing all of what feels like progress towards a skill. And it's okay to be afraid of that progress loss; everyone feels it. We're hard-wired to protect what we hold dear, regardless of how good or bad for us it is.

I think we focus a lot of the parts of AI that are stealing, and it is absolutely worth talking about that, but it's also important to recognize the cost to the people actually using AI and how it robs them of self-expression. How it strips away creativity, growth, and problem-solving common to a lot of creative work.

I guess, all this to say... The door doesn't close. That path is never sealed off to you. If you can prompt an AI, you can find a digital tool with which to create whatever your heart desires. It's okay to be scared, it's okay to hesitate. But you owe it to yourself to at least try, so you can say that you did.

Day 21: Draw a pony working a miracles (yes I know I'm very late). Seraphs exist in a state where life and death are states of energy, all things pieces in inscrutable machinations. They cannot always fix everything, but they are always willing to push the folds for the better. #natgday21 #mlp #oc

A multi-panel comic:
1) A Myrmecoph sits, mourning the loss of a bee queen.
2) The Myrmecoph looks up to the sight of a Seraph's (leg) standing over it.
3) Tearfully, the Myrmecoph gives the bee to the Seraph.
4) The Seraph begins a ritual, two of its body rings surrounding the bee as it begins a silent prayer.
5, 6, 7, 8) As the Seraph dramatically opens its eyes, the bee radiates with magical energy, slowly opening its eyes as it resurrects.
9, 10) Initially blinded by the flash, the Myrmecoph looks over to see its companion alive and well, happily greeting it.
11) The Seraph smiles as it watches the Myrmecoph and the bee wander off to their own devices.

Hyacinth doesn't really have a use for armor; they're big, bulky, and supernaturally durable to begin with (not to mention being hurt makes them spawn more puppets). But the Serfs worked very hard on this suit, and it'd be a shame not to at least try it on. #mlp #oc
