Looks like they're closer than I thought. At 6%, the annuity wins out (25% higher, screenshots below). At 10%, the lump sums wins out since you get a full 30 years of that sweet sweet interest right off the bat. S&P 30-year average is 10-12%. Don't really think there's a wrong answer!

Most people don't know Kate Bush's 1985 hit single "Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)" is really about the "Exp Share" item from Pokemon Gold The song explains how hard Mt Silver is if you don't use Exp Share to evenly level up your party (also a warning about Red's Pikachu using Thunder)

Oh whoops, I didn't grab a screenshot of the end result but this was mid-combat. Apparently Walruses are super slow, which is good because my shuttle landed basically right next to the whole pack. Was able to strategically fall back and make a firing line. No major injuries, daughter saved. GG
