I haven't painted in some months, after some rough personal time. Trying to slowly get back to the brushes. First thing, some Whispers of the Deep models. With the solo version of the game launching today, the timing is perfect. #minipainting #wip

I fared better in the post fight sequence. Several soldiers received lasting injuries, but I did gather a lot of new funds and items. Paul's crusaders didn't fare as well, with 2 of his men dying, and he only gathered enough fund to recruit back one. He did get some good experience rolls at least.

First Warmaster game for my mate Paul and his Wood Elves! They stood in the way of my Dark Elves' raid to pillage and enslave their bretonnians allies, and successfully broke the slaver force. They retreating back to the Arks and will prepare new raids. #warmaster #warmasterrevolution #10mm

Started a short Dracula's America campaign with my pal Paul tonight. Our posses had to carry loot out of the local town. My forsaken couldn't keep their nerve and fled the scene once the lead started flying. But they made by with some good after game encounters. #draculasamerica #weirdwest

Thanks! I'm quite pleased with the results, especially for the time invested. I played Dark Elves in WHFB for decades, so it was the only real choice of first force. I'll get some games in with them, but I'm already thinking about the next army. ;)

Finished the two test models for my mexican posse. In the end, I like both style, full sepia and faded. But sepia is such a different take, it will look weird next to my quite colourful regular models (like the miner on the right). The faded look at least looks closer. #minipainting #wildwest

Yeah, it's kind of the style I'm aiming for. Sunblasted yellowish tinted image of the old movies. Not purely sepia, just tinted. I think I went a bit too blue on the coat, but I'm still really happy with the overall look.

Some more work on him. It's getting away from a pure sepia, and looks more like an old faded picture or movie shot, but I think I like it better. Might still try a pure monochromatic after, to compare. #wip #minipainting #wildwest

Wip picture of my sepia style test model. I didn't go pure monochromatic but instead desaturated toward brown/beige. Remains to be seen if I like that or not, but that happens with most wip models until later and the style "clicks", so I'll finish it and then see. #wip #minipainting #wildwest

I had some leftover brown primer, and did some beige to brown zenithal on my new mexican posse. Now I'm wondering if I shouldn't paint them in a sepia tone style? 🤔 I think it could look quite cool, but they would clash on the table with my other posses and NPCs. #wip #minipainting #draculasamerica

Thanks. :) Vinyl mat from Sally 4th, and mdf street tiles from TTCombat. They come in a variety of size, so are quite modular indeed. I'm just missing some of the 45 degrees one, and they don't sell them alone sadly.

Really fun game of #Carnevale last night, with my pals @yaumasta.bsky.social and Genesse. My poor drunken Pulcinellas got beat up, leaving only the barone that spurred them to action standing at the end. But it was a blast getting them out for the first time. They are hilarious. :) #ttcombat

Introduced another friend to Dracula's America last night. My cursed Forsakens against his holy Order. The crusaders made short work of my soldiers and gunned them down to the last man/werewolf. I'm really happy with how the table is turning out, with the new carts and wagon! #draculasamerica

Fun game of Dracula's America last night with my pal @yaumasta.bsky.social. His desert Skinwalkers made short work of my cursed Forsakens, but suffered from so many jams it was ridiculous. My table is getting quite good. Just missing some road scatter, like a carriage or a wagon, and some horses.
