Capricious Provenance 🔮 @capriprov.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

What is Capricious Provenance about? 🔮✨ For those of you who weren't able to snag copy of our zine in person, we're posting it here so you can get the rundown! Episodes & Animatics: 🔮 spoti.fi/4euylkw 🃏 apple.co/4guaGlQ ✨ pca.st/olrczqkd 🗡️ tiktok.com/@capriprov 🌿 bit.ly/3MPGK69

The cover of a zine with the words:
Capricious Provenance - a podcast zine

Created by Amihan Johnson | @therosecleric
In the center is a portrait of the main characters of Capricious Provenance - Sylvanus, Finch, Calais and Snowy. Sylvanus has blue skin, dark blue stag horns, long silver hair and white eyes. Finch has tanned, freckled skin, golden eyes, and wears dark makeup. They wear stark black clothing along with a cowboy hat and flame colored wavy hair flowing underneath it. Calais has brown skin, black & silver hair and a unicorn horn protruding from his forehead. They have one golden eye and one opalescent eye. They wear a white low cut blouse, displaying celestial top surgery scars. Snowy is a snow-leopard cat girl with white fur, golden eyes, and black spots decorating their cheeks. She wears a red cloak with grey fur lining the hood.

what is Capricious Provenance?

An award winning multi-system AP Audio Drama fusion set in an arcanepunk, partially homebrewed world of D&D 5e’s Eberron. we aim to tell stories through podcasting and animatics!

so...it’s a D&D Podcast?
Yes and no. D&D is the main system used, but mechanics are barely featured. Some elements from Pathfinder & other supplements are used. Eventually, we branch out and play other games - such as Tales of the Valiant, The Corrupted and 1400 Sneak.

no really. what’s it about?

It’s a story of love and violence of the self, and for those around us. It circles four heroes(?) navigating their lives in the wake of destruction, wading in the depths of their trauma as they connect with troubled people living in a fragmented, war-torn world. It ’s about fighting tooth and nail against the way things are, and daring to hope for change.

will i like it?
Perhaps? Imagine Dragon Age and Baldur’s Gate 3 had a baby. Now, imagine Castlevania and Delicious in Dungeon had a baby, with Legend of Korra & The Owl House as godparents.

If those two babies grew up and had a baby?
That’s what Capricious Provenance is.

everyone has at least one EPIC: the musical song stuck in their head at all times 🎶 here's a work in progress animatic for @capriprov.bsky.social using the song "Luck Runs Out" - the final will look a bit different, but I'm happy with it so far! [ #art #wip #animatic | #capriprov #dnd ]

Do not obey in advance.
Resist. Do not offer an oppressive government what it wants. Do not anticipate its needs and offer up what you think it wants. To do so teaches power what it can do.

Time for a pinned post! ✨ Hi, I’m Aubo! 💜 I’m a trans non-binary illustrator who loves drawing cute & colorful critters. I especially love using Posca pens! ☕️ Ko-Fi (club, etc): ko-fi.com/aubryjoi ⭐️ Shop: aubryjoi.myshopify.com 🔎 Other socials: aubryjoi.carrd.co

My hand holding two enamel pins of long, circular cats. The one on the left is dark purple with a colorful arcade-carpet pattern on it of geometric shapes & lines. The pin on the right is white with the iconic “jazz cup” design, a teal squiggle with a purple squiggle on top. The pins are on a backer card that shows their names & the title of the set: Retro Long Cats, named Arcade & Squiggles.

A paint marker illustration of four cute, stylized, stubby alligators on one page. They all have short legs, chubby bodies, no necks, and small dot eyes with goofy smiles. One is pink, one is teal, one is blue, and one is yellow-orange. There are small stars, jellybeans, and sparkles floating around them all.

A drawing of an anxious looking orange and red cat wearing a small teal bow tie and a small teal propellor hat. The cat’s eyes are huge and watery with a tear coming out of one. They have no mouth, and their fur is fluffed up as they sit with one back leg up. Three large sweat drops are coming off their face. They’re in front of a maroon rectangle background.

A drawing of Egg the Trans Raccoon (a pink, blue & white raccoon with a trans flag colored striped tail) leaping up happily. They are wearing a tee shirt that says “trans day of visibility” on it. In their paw is a trans flag. The background is also a trans flag, with colorful sparkles around them. They are winking, smiling with an open mouth, and look proud and happy.

Apparently there’s an influx of far right nazi arseholes. Remember the rules. Do not engage. Do not quote post to dunk. Block early, block often. Starve them of oxygen.
