it's fun to do value drawings but i do things too low-contrast and have to add a levels adjustment after

A grayscale values drawing of a little mouse boy. He is wielding a big iron key and has a cautious expression

as someone with 1,000,000 unplayed games, it's very relieving to adopt the standard "if i'm not hooked in an hour max, then I'm moving on to something else"

i refunded control 2... i got five hours in then realised it was a slog that was stuffed with dull skill tree loot gathering open world xp grinding... i read a review that said "one day i will stop existing, do i really want to spend my time on this sort of thing?" and had to stop

Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity? The definition of insanity is... Repeating the same actions while expecting different outcomes. The first time someone told me that, I thought they were having a laugh at my expense, so I executed them.

a recurring criticism of TLOU2 i hear is "it's too depressing" and i can't help but think, if that's your threshold, you are piss weak

whenever i hear the "games make more money than other entertainment mediums" i always feel like it's dishonestly conflating the zillions earned from microtransaction whales with individual sales of games. i wonder what the pie chart for $ earned by gambling in games vs sales looks like
