felt like putting these two together would be thematically similar, so here's @zoeymane.bsky.social, Rin Penrose's manager and @ashtaric.bsky.social, RTGame's editor! they've both been really nice to me and do an amazing job each so this was long overdue :)

Some peers recently encouraged me to consider opening consultations to the public As I'm not considering any more full-time clients (barring exceptional cases), how many people would be interested in one-time consultations to answer specific questions and give specific advice?

3D World Makers! I'm currently on the lookout for some world creators who are able to make 3D environments for VTubers to use in their content If you have experience, feel free to show off a bit of your work so I can make sure I know who you are for future reference!

add to the long list of lessons learned over the last couple months never set an "unrealistic goal" for a "funny joke tweet" that will have "no consequences" because apparently people *will* reach it just to spite you

ok so what have we learned over the last hour:

Zoey 💀 @zoeymane.bsky.social · 15/12/2024

obviously we can't do certain things like violate legal agreements, but there's a lot that viewers just have no idea about that goes on behind closed doors we both think it's a bit insane that in this industry the average person sees so much yet so little at the same time

I was talking with a former VTuber corpo executive and we both basically landed on "it'd be kinda funny if we did a q+a and shared war stories from our corpo days" Would any of you be interested in something along those lines? What kind of questions would you like answers to?

Just 3 days left to get your marketable Rin Penrose plushie! Remember that this is the ONLY Rin plushie made with Rin's personal seal of approval! (also if we sell a few more we genuinely might sell as many as the "let's go gambling" plushie which would be really funny to me)

Zoey sitting on a desk holding a majong tile with a skull on it (her oshi mark). Behind her are shelves that have Blahaj, skrunklies, Rin Penrose Gamer Supps cups, sily and productive braincells containers, Evee plush, Splatoon plushies, Rin Plushies, Roses and Blue flame for Rosarian, Dokibird dragoon plushie, League of Legends Teemo statue, the S.S. Shepherd, and lots of Rin Penrose marketable plushies. At the bottom is an Ikea brown bear plushie.

Obviously there's more to it and there's a lot of nuance and skills to learn beyond the basics. But it's very disheartening to see how low the bar is for management in the VTubing space - we should be striving for better instead of simply slapping higher prices on basic services.

I'm often asked "how do you become a talent manager?" and I cannot emphasise enough how simple this job is. You just need a basic level of competence and organisation, and to care about what you do. For prior IRL work experience, find a job doing any man/project management.

I'm genuinely speechless. 1000 Rin plushies sold on Makeship. This is the first deal I worked on as an indie VTuber manager from start to finish. Based on a variety of datapoints, my *most* optimistic projections were half that number - I'm overjoyed that this is the result.

We're close to 1000 marketable™ Rin Penrose plushies sold, I'm so glad that you guys like it so much!🥹 It goes to show that there's really nothing and nobody holding us back now - I'll be working hard behind the scenes to support Rin so she can have even more cool stuff!
