😔 There has been no real improvement in children’s oral health for 10 years. Our first report in September 2024 called for urgent action 😀 Since then ambitious new initiatives have been announced. 💪 Sustained partnership working is needed for these to fulfil their potential

Good to see early years supervised daily toothbrushing introduced in the most socioeconomically deprived areas in England. We have been doing this on a universal not targeted basis in all nurseries in Scotland for the best part of 20 years www.childsmile.nhs.uk

Process evaluations are really important in helping to understand how (oral) health interventions work. They are particularly useful for interventions that include a number of interacting components operating in different ways & also when interventions address complex problems. #dentistry
