Just a little train of thought I guess. I know I get heated about willful ignorance sometimes but people genuinely wanting to know more about my culture will never be turned away from my door, that's something I can hold myself to

I think he's almost privileged to be able to hold that isolationist view. To live in a world where your biggest worry is gatekeeping from your own people because you're no longer running for your survival is a lucky thing. It's impossible to please everyone, but times change and so must we

Tbh... I would die happy knowing that my culture lived on in those who were torn away from it and yet still chose it on their own. If you don't make a home for those people, where do they go? And just as importantly, where do our ways go with nobody left who is 'Roma enough' to inherit them?

A longgg talk with my family about culture and one of my cousins is very adamant that the second you leave 'the way of life' you're no longer Roma at all My grandmother once said people reconnecting with our culture aren't vultures or burdens. The world took them from us, they didn't do that. 🫶

Dietrich's Route Complete - 7/10 The start was ROUGH I can't lie, I wasn't a fan of the first 5-6 chapters at all, but the last 6 definitely grabbed me. I think it had a great ending and the last chapter was a lot of fun

When Zindelo was first conceived, he was a selfish sorcerer compelled to do good by the source of his power, the deity known as the Golden Flame. It just didn't feel right for him, though, so I flipped it and had him as a humble monk trying to escape his connection to a primal deity.
