I don't know about you, but... What I need is a body double* who is not in my family, so as to avoid that kind of energy when deciding on what to get rid of. And the need to understand neurodivergent associations of things with memory. My things are meaningful because of what they hold for me.

Surprisingly, no dental problems. She ate exclusively dry food for something like 10 years because I heard that it helped with dental problems. She now eats exclusively wet food because she tolerates it a lot better.

They have a fountain they both drink from and I water down her food as well. Thanks for the confirmation. She hates ANY kind of unasked-for contact. Just getting her to the vet really pissed her off. I'm not going to put her on an inhaler!

Yeah, she's borderline on the kidney disease, and the food she eats is hypoallergenic, so it would be between kidney disease and her having asthma attacks and barfing constantly, so no on the kidney food. She's also very underweight.

I put all the hit pieces in the trash, and all the flyers from orgs I know and support, along with our ballots and official voter guide in a pile. I also text myself any info from reliable sources. Then we sit down and fill out our ballots together and bring them to the closest collection site.

Results are in. Possible early stage of kidney disease. Everything else looks great--except her heart. So, I can to take her to a cat cardiologist and pay a lot of money. I likely will. But I want to have a conversation about the possible outcomes first.

We had a solar eclipse in 2015? 16? I was working at the time. The whole campus came outside and looked through various contraptions. It was really fun. And spooky! We haven't had a good solar eclipse in Ca in a long time.
