i have always been a walkable neighborhood, middle of everything girl. i hate everything about the idea of developments like this but…it just feels like it would be a huge relief. very easy. kid wouldn’t change schools, it would just add 5-10 minutes to the drive. i just can’t shake being a snob 😭

it’s just 2.5 years! and it would give the teenager some more space to have friends over, and have room in case she ever wants a car. and the development has a gorgeous pool and gym and dog parks and it’s gorgeous. i just feel….so wrong 😩 even though it’s only like 7 minutes from our house.

i think david and i might compromise our personalities in the ultimate way and move to a new development in what would be the suburbs if san antonio wasn’t just sprawl. we have house trauma. i don’t want to have to stress about a house. and moving farther out gets us so much. aghhhhhhh.

i have to keep my ear dry for up to 8 weeks and see my ENT every week for as long. now that i’ve hit my out of pocket max OOH BOY WE GOIN TO THE DOCTOR give me the full work up!

they’re setting me freeeee tonight! my white blood cell counts have dropped to normal human levels so i get to switch to oral antibiotics and painkillers and see my ENT in his clinic. hurray for smart doctors and modern medicines and days of IV antibiotics.

our landlord offered us a mutual termination of our lease today so they could make all of the repairs and they offered: to give us our security deposit back. that’s it. looney tunes if they think we are falling for that. moving costs in this situation is like the one right renters have in Texas.

If you love stationary and based on sales, I think a lot of people do. Here's a gentle nudge to move past "collecting" and to actually USE the stationary. Write letters to friends and family. Send thank you notes. Write actual cards and MAIL THEM.

i got a wildly bad ear infection that’s already spread to the bone behind my ear in the first 24 hours

looking like 48-72 hours in the ICU. i am apparently already responding very well to treatment but they are going to be conservative and keep me because how fast things came on and the fact that it’s in my face and all. little freaked out by the doctors being like thank god that you went to the ER
