Good grief. This app has been filled for days with people condemning the Hawks/the Dream owners/the League for "forcing" the Dream to play in their small home arena, and now that a solution is worked out, someone comes along and condemns that. LOL. Social media never fails to deliver.

The Dream are scheduled to play in State Farm next year, so ownership has realized - but this year's success came earlier than those logistics. We don't know what all the contingencies and barriers are. Would love actual reporting on that, not everyone's speculating that it must be someone's fault.

Or it's miscommunication and confusion because the NY bench doesn't know what's going on. Stewart is asking the refs DURING the free throws, when the ref is supposed to be watching the free throw. It's a chaotic mess. This is why the timeouts are tracked at the table, not on the floor.

She might not be lying, but she might be wrong. Miscommunication is a thing. The coaching staff is supposed to be on top of that and communicate the game situation to the players. Why is she even asking the ref on the court? As the statement by WNBA said, that's tracked at the table, not on court.

That already is the rule? The difficulty is determining intentional over just going for the ball. The players all know you have to "try" to steal the ball. They just aren't trying to do it without fouling.

Is that the refs on the court job? (I don't know, but they aren't tracking those things themselves) It's definitely the coach's job. Those refs were horrible but I don't see how this is on them.

They believe the rest of the league is the Washington Generals to Caitlin's Globetrotters and as such Caitlin's team should win every game "for ratings". They lost. They are not in the playoffs anymore. If that drops ratings because some ppl only care about her then it is what it is. I don't care.

Even if she was correct I don't get the point. The Dallas Cowboys are and have been "America's Team" for decades. They ARE the most popular. That doesn't make them good though. The sport is still about the sporting. Popularity is a thing, but it is not THE thing. Popularity won't win the title.

I watched an Indiana team last year overperform like crazy with a rotating contingent of replacement players. Those players played harder for White than this year's group. They played defense too! It might not be the coaching.

Early in that game Nneka missed a shot, got the rebound, missed the followup, got the rebound, worked free and passed it out. That's what bigs are supposed to do. Also, it's objectively not true Angel only rebounds her own misses, she's getting everyone's misses!

I think if plenty of people do this and overtly ignore the haters it will be more effective than engaging. Just show them they don't belong. No need to say anything. They want a reaction. They want ppl to get angry. Just overwhelm their message with positive messages supporting those they hate.

It was a trap, and it worked. It's the asymmetrical warfare the right uses so well and it works for them because they have no values and no problem with hypocrisy. Being a decent person puts you at a disadvantage that they then exploit. Trolls want to elicit your worst reaction.
