Hello, all! I'm ZigZagArts, but you can just call me ZigZag! I'm an avid artist who often 'zigzags' in style, drawing abstract anomalies and works based on others' properties, all for fun! Feel free to DM me about any art inquiries; I'll try to respond when I can!

My sona, ZigZag, a literal green zigzag-shaped creature with various fish-like qualities. Their face is a simple green diamond shape with two abstract edges, each with orange eyelids. Their body is a continuous zigzag shape, connecting their face to the lower fins, which are also green in design and particularly angular.

Creaturifying - 13/15 (Glasses) Meet Glown, the comedy creature! An unassuming pair of glasses, frame and transparency, would be generic, so this being has donned itself with paint, wig and even a red nose... even if that means subsequent humiliation. #creaturifying #glasses #object #art #artwork

The Glown, a glasses-like object creature that takes on the appearance of a clown or standard performer at a circus. The frames of the glasses themselves are a toned blue, with the corners bending down as to simulate two skinny legs on either side. A purple wig with various bright spots sits behind the frames, while a red nose is situated right below.

Creaturifying - 12/15 (Mug) Meet Mugushhh, the toasty creature! Whether it be a quiet afternoon after work or a chilly winter's day, this being of coffee and marshmallows is enough to warm the heart and body; so much, that it seems to be melting itself! #creaturifying #mug #object #art #artwork

Mugushhh, a red porcelain mug-like object creature that takes on a melting appearance, drooping downwards with a flat bottom section. It has a curved handle to its left side and a five marshmallows dotted around it, all equally melting under the heat of the coffee inside the mug. Its facial structure consists of two eyes with black pupils, curving vertically down the sides of the design, while it has silver lips which distort around the bottom section of its mug body.

Creaturifying - 11/15 (Pencil) Meet Dr. HB, the inventive creature! Much unlike the primitive object creatures that have come before, this sophisticated individual has been studying the concept of Creaturifying for as long as science prevails. #creaturifying #pencil #object #art #artwork

Dr. HB, a pencil-like object creature that takes on the more traditional shape of a HB pencil, including a yellow centre wood with black stripes, a pink flat rubber at the bottom, and a sharp lead on the top. The pencil stands upright, and has the notable facial features of a brown, curved moustache, alongside two angular eyestalks, which dangle above and below the creature. These eyestalks are pink in colour, and are attached at the centre of the pencil shape.

Creaturifying - 10/15 (Key) Meet Keyver, the unlocking creature! With the body of a beaver mammal, and the head of a mutated silver key, it seems as if this being has no survival instinct; nevertheless, it thrives with its silver and sharp adaptations! #creaturifying #key #object #art #artwork

Keyver, a key-like object creature with the face of a giant silver key, and the body of an strange-looking mammal, seemingly a beaver. On the large key, there are two downwards squares to form its shape, with a large eye on each side which moves from a white to pink gradient, and a black pupil. On its brown, furry body, it has two silver claws on each arm and foot, with a silver angular tail on its behind.

Creaturifying - 9/15 (Mirror) Meet Mirclinger, the reflective creature! Strangely, this entity's mirror possesses properties beyond reasoning... it takes on properties of glass, allowing transparency into its blurred lenses; but no creature in sight! #creaturifying #mirror #object #art #artwork

Mirclinger, a mirror-based object creature consisting of an elaborate metal mirror, with a pink-skinned creature hiding behind it. The mirror itself has various ornate curves on its edges, with glowing green balls pieced throughout, while the glass shows a blurred transparency through the entire design, much unlike the actual reflective properties of a real-world mirror.

Creaturifying - 8/15 (Basket) Meet Baskamble, the wrapping creature! This entity consists not of the object it personifies, but the various wraparound vines that... well, wrap right around the basket! The dried red eyes are merely a bonus. #creaturifying #basket #object #art #artwork

Baskamble, a basket-like object creature that also consists of various brown vines, wrapping around its form and below as to simulate a pair of legs. Two vines on each 'leg' appear to wrap around from the bottom, until they join together in an anchor-like formation, while a group of red eyes with black pupils sit piled up in the centre of the basket.

Creaturifying - 7/15 (Chair) Meet Deckelganger, the beach creature! When relaxing on a tropical island resort, it is best to pay special attention to the nearby seating facilities... especially as not to encounter extra-terrestrial phenomena. #creaturifying #chair #object #art #artwork

Deckelganger, a deck chair-like object creature which actually involves a flexing pink alien. It has four arms peeking out in various connections from a central yellow eye, two horizontally as to reflect the lateral sections of the chair, and two vertically downwards to represent its feet. It wears a central red and white striped costume to appear like a deck chair, even with the central mouth with sharp teeth.

Creaturifying - 6/16 (Clock) Meet Ring Ring Thing, the counting creature! Alike the inconspicuous clock, this being counts... and counts... until it rings the beginning of a morning shift, or calls to climb out of bed. How does it feel to ring, though? #creaturifying #clock #object #art #artwork

Ring Ring Thing, an old-fashioned clock-like creature with two eyes and two stubby legs on its sides. The creature itself is coloured blue with a peach centre, and has small hooves on the bottoms of its legs. On the top of its face, there are small metallic chimes which serve the purpose of ringing, like real-world clocks.

Creaturifying - 5/15 (Pillow) Meet Pillonarch, the regal creature! Kings and princes often desire comfort in their own lives, sitting on a throne or a four poster bed with glistening cushions to boot. This royal rest does both; relax, and be relaxing! #creaturifying #pillow #object #art #artwork

Pillonarch, a royal pillow-like creature with a golden crown on top, adorned with green, blue and red circular jewels. Its appearance consists of a red pillow with a curling brown moustache and various crease marks around its corners, while four 'hands' of sorts peak out from each edge. Each 'hand' is a circular blue jewel, with three brown fingers attached.

Creaturifying - 4/15 (Bottle) Meet Corkskell, the glass creature! There are many questions surrounding this transparent being, mainly whether or not its skeletal interior is connected or separate... but this account isn't for complex anatomy. #creaturifying #bottle #object #art #artwork

Corkskell, a glass bottle-like creature that consists of a transparent sideways bottle with a small, brown cork on top. On the inside, there are various square bones shaping the inside of the creature, with two closed eyes leaving only the eyelids.

Creaturifying - 3/15 (Lamp) Meet Lamp-ere, the glowing creature! Much unlike the mycelium of the night or the vegetation of the day, this lampshade is capable of thriving twenty-four hours at a time! Unless the the power cuts short, that is. #creaturifying #lamp #object #art #artwork

Lamp-ere, a lamp-like object creature that bears a resemblance to a fungus and a tree stump. Its design consists of a brown lower body rooting flat into the ground, with a light red lamp-like upper present above. It has red eyebrows, and both two eyes and a upper lamp section that are a shining gold colour.

Creaturifying - Spoon (2/15) Meet the Spoooonz, the metallic creatures! Unlike their real-world counterparts, they do not tolerate the handling of liquids, and will not hesitate to bite back; if only they had mouths to fight utensil aggression... #creaturifying #spoon #object #art #artwork

The Spooooonz, two spoon-like creatures which stand upright and have the additional features of a singular large eye in the spoon centre, and two 'ears' of a sort peaking from the sides of their faces. One spoon is larger than the other, as they stand side-by-side.

Creaturifying - Book (1/15) Meet Readeye, the literary creature! While this disguised being may invite others to read its vast swaths of knowledge, you may find that the most essential facts and figures are replaced by all-seeing eyeballs... #creaturifying #book #object #art #artwork

Readeye, an object creature that takes the form of an open book, with indecipherable squiggles of writing. On each page, there is a randomly positioned eye staring forwards, while the bottom of the book features two red ribbon-like hands.

The other two frogs, coloured green and red respectively, are peeking above the scenery, watching the action unfold.

It all depends how creatively minded you might be... I'm a uni student studying English Literature and the arts, but I understand the struggle with extensive writing. I could write as much about the stupidest topic, and make it sound believable. Check the alt text of the image to see what I mean.

Whether it be Picasso, Kandinsky or Mondrian, many artists have aspired to break free from the painterly tradition of 'refined' or 'intellectual art', and toss their emotions onto a page; that explains the universe of Paint Gal, where an unusually artistically inclined being with the power to shape universes came across the Canvas, an empty plane of existence not quite inhabited by any sense of life.

"No sign of intelligent life, anywhere..." the great Abstrakto announced to the oxygen that met his lungs (was it really oxygen, or truthfully Xenon considering the bright white of the blank Canvas?)

Using the power of sentient molecules and his lack of respiration (for his lungs were abstract in nature, and rather dysfunctional), Abstrakto unleashed his years of pain and anguish into a newly established universe, painting the Canvas with towns and cities, mountains and molehills, waves and waters; but it was far from safe. With great power often comes great instability, when not honed correctly for goodness of one's heart, something that Abstrakto was incapable of achieving, for his veins pumped nitroglycerin at 2.41847 litres per second, and his chambers were six sizes too large (if you ignore his pulmonary artery, which was four sizes too large...)

The instability grew, generating a world of beautiful colour and schemed not with evil, but with fresh life... but no randomness would ever be chaotic good, and was more neutral evil. Within minutes, a typically regular town to a Greek god's perspective, became the CahnVaz; a distorted universe concentrated on comedy, spilling with absurd and particularly unusual concepts. Abstrakto looked at the horrors of his creation, and fled the disgrace he had created, to wipe the slate clean and create another universe where he would be crowned King.

...but he left behind a distorting part of his RNA. And that part became a... girl? It's the scientific default, after all. And that scientific default... became Paint Gal. Uh oh...

040

ZigZagArts @zigzagarts.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

If you want lore... then how about you create a massive document with every last concept explored within the Paint Gal universe? When deciding lore, it isn't a matter of 'what happened', but more 'how'? What is with the sentient wooden crates? Why can she turn into a boat? Why paint and not gravel?

Even more Frayed art?! How long did it take you to assemble all of these pieces together? You must have had lots of free time, it usually takes me an hour to bring one of my basic pieces from a blank pixel canvas to fully shaded... yet you can bring out five pieces today, like a drop in the ocean!

Yay! New Frayed Symphony art! Frayed artwork! Seriously though, this is a spectacular piece! Outside of the romantic scene on show, I really admire the 'painterly' texture of the water and the lily pads/leaves below, with individual brush strokes! I'm sure this took all hours in the world to paint!

That's amazing! It is almost impossible to tell apart your C1 to C5 emoticons from the new set, which means the other person did great! How long do you think it took to design each one? All were based on the C1 template, but the process of concepting, feedback, and layering must be challenging!
