Melting my brain a bit trying to do intersections of basic forms but I think I'm getting it now after a day of really not getting it. Oh and I'm back to art now!

My London comic con haul! Mostly @datcravat.bsky.social who I went straight to at opening and she was super super lovely and excited 💖 I wasn't sure about coming but now I'm really happy I did!

It's #inktober! Will I do it? I nearly gave up before even starting, but then talked myself around to doing this quickly. Thought I would do a different #zzero character each day, and then the Inktober prompt is "mustache" AND it's #メガネの日 (glasses day) so... Nicole hiding from her debts?

Getting back to art after a break for a couple of months to persue something else, this is a follow-along from Nekojira's #coloso course

#Dokomi haul part 9 and just 1 #Nicole print wouldn't do so I finished the day with this piece by @hirosenpaii.bsky.social which I'd seen online but now I know who the artist is and can follow them!

020 2

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 07/06/2025

#Dokomi haul part 8 and I *finally* found a relatively SFW #ZZZero #Nicole print by @kikoldraws.bsky.social which was my main mission for the day (of course I had to venture into the 18+ area for this) Especially great to see something in her cunning cutie outfit!

030 3

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 07/06/2025

#Dokomi haul part 7 and I did *not* find as many #zzzero prints as I was hoping so of course I could rely on @expulse.bsky.social as part of the ZZZ rally! Not obvious without a video but this is a really nice and shiny foil print of #Burnice ❤️‍🔥

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 07/06/2025

#Dokomi haul part 6 and I went for the full artbook + set by @pattikou.com who I've been following for a while, had no idea what I was getting but extremely happy with it! Look at that hair!

#Dokomi haul part 5 and I just had to grab these after spotting this artwork of #OshiNoKo by @sdsmod.bsky.social (it's one of my favourite series) especially love that reflection of Akane as Ai!

#Dokomi haul part 4 and I was not able to resist 3 for the price of 2 on these prints by @rythae.com I don't even play HSR but I love their style!

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 07/06/2025

#Dokomi haul part 3 and my favourite single print is this of #EllenJoe by @yunyang.bsky.social who was lovely to chat to and I wish I'd bought more stuff now! So I've joined their Patreon instead 💛🖤

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 07/06/2025

#Dokomi haul part 2 and I had preordered this gorgeous set of prints and photocards by @say0ranarts.bsky.social who has simply incredible use of colour, these will take pride of place I'm sure

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 07/06/2025

#Dokomi haul part 1 and the first thing I did was pick up @beneceadraws.bsky.social 's artbook, had no idea which artwork might be inside but I LOVE it! Very happy with the classic Gameboy pokemon charm too, as I'm old enough to have played pokemon red on one! The wheel of Kirby granted me Isabelle!

Ever missed out on a big art trend? Only realised golden bikini week was a thing after golden week? I've made a calendar you can import to know about them in advance! ziedritz.art#/art-trends-... #呉服の日 #百合の日 #ビキニの日

Telling myself to stop redoing this so I can try something else 😅first drawing of an #oc !

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 21/04/2025

Still chipping away at this! Need to finish it this week really to align with other things. Nearly there if I ignore the lack of background 😄 #oc

020 2

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 11/04/2025

Started colouring this! Every bit of it is giving me trouble 😅 So I'm learning! #oc

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 06/04/2025

I've not drawn never mind posted something recently other than some quick sketches as practice. I'm usually happiest at this stage (the lineart) before I flatten it out with colour so today's aim is to avoid that! First appearance of my first #oc

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 23/02/2025

Quite a reworking of the earlier Caesar sketch thanks to some good feedback, but I don't know if I'm going to finish it, just something I don't have the eyes to see with yet that I don't like about it

010 1

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 13/02/2025

The timelapse for this, once I remembered to turn it on as always happens. So many reverted attempts at hair and gold bits! #zzz

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 11/02/2025

Oh! My favourite Megadrive/Genesis game was Landstalker, which is a sort of isometric Zelda-like. The main character, Nigel, has a wood nymph companion called Friday, she's *very* similar to Gallica from Metaphor. There's almost no official art AFAIK, just the western and eastern box art here

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 11/02/2025

Any of the Final Fantasy heroines up to FFIX would be an obvious choice, for something a little more obscure there's Feena from Grandia who has a fun, pretty 90s character design. Though too young canonically for a schmexy artwork I guess.

Still a work in progress, but getting there! #zzzero #zenlesszonezero #nicole

Another day, another Nicole #wip Today with flat colours! #zzzero #zzz #zenlesszonezero #nicole

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 06/02/2025

#wip #2 of this - Boo! Probably just jump to lineart from here

020 2

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 04/02/2025

I was supposed to finish the Nicole piece I was working on by Saturday and, er, didn't. The art class I'm in has a project for us to completely redo it with feedback over the next 2 weeks (um, 10 days now) so... here's Nicole selfie take 2, #wip 1!

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 29/01/2025

Back on this Nicole Demara illustration after a month! #zzz #zzzero

030 3

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 26/01/2025

Birthday fanart of @rimuurin.bsky.social ! That makes this my 2nd finished illustration and I'm really happy with some parts of it but want to change how I colour the hair to be more similar to how Rimuu does it (at least, one day in the future)

030 3

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 19/01/2025

Trying the approach of flat colours straight onto the sketch, no formal lineart. Time to find out if the Gatan course on 5 step colouring has paid off!

020 2

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 16/01/2025

Little traditional art copy of Nicole Demara from #zenlesszonezero Don't think I'll ever be happy with how these turn out compared to digital art

030 3

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 14/01/2025

Going to try and finish this in time as a birthday surprise! 🤫

Started doing a lighting study but now I want to fix the proportions and feel I might have picked something too ambitious with how many small creases there are in the subject

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 14/01/2025

Today's lunchtime sketch, before I make a mess of it with markers that I'm not very good with 😅 #zzz #zzzero #nicole #demara

I'm also following Gatan's 5 step colouring course on Coloso. First attempt at using it following along from her example in the chapter it's introduced. The highlight isn't at all right but I'm mostly happy with the rest, though I need to practice blending a lot more.

Today's lunchtime sketch, based on a gorgeous illustration of #aerith by @kurehana2 on Twitter

This is the posed DesignDoll I used

020 2

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 01/01/2025

First #wip of my 2nd illustration, is it cheating that I posed a model in DesignDoll to get the base of this one? #nicole #zzz #zzzero #zenlesszonezero

A colourful sketch of Nicole Demara from Zenless Zone Zero taking a selfie in a dynamic pose with her phone close to the viewer. She is winking and posing with a V/peace sign with her other hand, similar to a pose she pulls in her character intro video.

Practice of body construction. I'm not that happy with these but that's what the practice is for!

I was given a small 52 page sketchpad for Secret Santa, so I got some markers and tried physical art for the first time. I miss the undo function! Jinx is a study of a piece by @blushyspicy.bsky.social (I love their style)

Photo of a sketchpad opened on the first couple of pages, showing a rendition of Tifa with her arms up and a happy expression on the upper page, and Jinx on the lower page pointing at the viewer with one hand doing finger guns and sticking her tongue out

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 28/11/2024

The timelapse for my first illustration, I really enjoy watching these back of my own work, but also learn a lot from the ones that the pros make available.

010 1

Ziedritz @ziedritz.art · 28/11/2024

The reference. Amazingly I decided to make the chest a lot *smaller* for Tifa 😂
