Suite Judy Blue Eyes. Stills tuned his guitar E - E - E - E - B - E Featured full strumming the E while dancing on the high b and e strings. I originally was doing it the way most tabs show, capo on 2nd fret, standard tuning. Never sounded right.

Bob would, of course, tell you not to take me at my word on the subject. But it appears to be true, and RAW did write about it himself.

We can get organizations to proclaim such days. We can make films, organize funding concerts, get millions in the streets. Yet nothing changes.

There is a store of songs which include the Em <-> E hammer on. (Or choose your key.) For What it's Worth is one.

Read a Benny Goodman biography which said he was not even interested in having an electric guitarist in the band. The band members invited Charlie to a rehearsal. Goodman wasn't pleased, went into one of his most intricate and difficult pieces. They ended up jamming and the rest is history.

Was lucky enough to see him live shortly before his passing. And I don't really like choosing favorites, but: youtu.be/U6cagWYTGCY?...

When I first read Chaos, soon after it came out, I would never have thought of Donald Trump as a strange attractor. He has certainly attracted the strange*, though. And strangely enough, The Art of the Deal came out in '87, same year as Chaos. *Or at least a dangerous subset of.

At the Palladium, 4th row, in front of Jerry... Sunday, May 1st, 1977. We missed the Sat. show with St. Stephen, but showed up on Sunday with a hand painted St. Stephen banner, only to be told we missed it the night before. Which was the only show we missed of the Palladium run. LOL...

Yepper, before “Seasons in the Sun” became one of the biggest pop hits of 1974, it began life as “Le Moribond” (“The Dying Man”), a 1961 song written & recorded by Belgian singer/songwriter Jacques Brel, one of Europe's most influential chanson performers. #JacquesBrel #OneHitWondered

#OTD in 1978, Belgian singer/songwriter Jacques Brel died of a pulmonary embolism at 49 years old... Brel’s songs crossed languages, borders & generations… and this one set the stage for an international hit that definitely earned US #OneHitWonder honors for a 🇨🇦 artist. #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

It starts before most kids learn to read. In nursery schools and kindergarten, kids are taught to recite by rote: "I pledge allegiance to the flag..." Without any clue as to what it means to do so, what the words mean.

Of bananas!!! youtu.be/q8I-zPmTPzM As life happens, I first saw Harry Chapin with the Quartet in Central Park. Was just playing in the park and we came across randomly. Then I was at his last show, a fund raiser thing at a high school in Long Island, with his brother Tom and Pete Seeger.
