The DSPico has rekindled my love for the DS. I’ve had this beautiful matte blue DSi for some years but never had a Flashcard which works in it. This machine is my perfect portable size. Nice screens, not too big and the texture of the matte surface feels great.

I find it fascinating that Famiclones were so prevalent in Poland that today when trying to sell a genuine Famicom, every seller labels it “like Pegasus”

i bought a lot of Amiga games for 10€ for Fate of Atlantis not realizing it was “Komplett in Deutsch” but there were a few nuggets in here like Sim City. oh they threw in a equal stack of PC floppies which i found upon arrival. Still Indy in German is a score

My family is moving house and I elected to put the majority of my retro gaming collection into my container. Usually I squirrel and Tetris things into every hidey-hole. Sobering and somewhat overwhelming to see it all stacked up in one place.

Another big box for the collection! Windows 98 in reasonable condition, includes the floppy and the brown paper envelope. This box design hits the nostalgia hard

I am having trouble selling my copies of Psikyo Shooting Library Vol 1&2 on switch and I think that’s kind of a good thing? Historically shmups are notorious for being in short supply and driving up prices Right now you can buy this collect easily online and it’s even 15 bucks on the eShop.

Eastern European gamers, what’s up with Pegasus/Dendy/local famiclones being so expensive on the second hand market? To my mind these are all junky, is nostalgia alone making people put these prices? I don’t just see this on Vinted, I see Dendy going locally for dumb prices too

My selling rate on eBay, Vinted and Marketplace has definitely gone up since I started to use ChatGPT to write the texts. I need an LLM to give me text which will appeal to the algorithm. I think the buyer would be fine with 1/4 of that description. It’s all furbies talking to furbies

Upgraded my Proxmox server to 48GB of RAM. It’s a EliteDesk G2 mini and can accept 32GB SODIMMs even though it’s undocumented. Found one cheap for 60€. I’ve got another G2 mini running ESXi 7 for older Windows VMs. Did the RAM merry-go-round and it’s now got 20GB.
