Also, Pandoc doesn't allow custom titles, which will also break the admonition detection.

Zettlr @zettlr.com · 23/09/2026
Short note since some users saw admonitions don't appear to work with Pandoc: Zettlr is happy about keywords in lowercase and UPPERCASE, Pandoc still requires the latter. A fix is already in the pipeline, but hasn't been released yet. Until then, use UPPERCASE to have exports work as expected.

After working around an odd bug of GitHub that their team has been unable to fix for more than a week, the Zettlr update API should now finally find the 4.7.0 update. To update, you can now check for updates from your app again, and Zettlr will offer you to update to 4.7.0.

Some of you may have experienced issues with Zettlr's citation key autocomplete stopping to work after the 8.0.3 Zotero update. While we don't know why it happened, we know what happened: Some citation items in the CSL JSON export are missing a citekey, and Zettlr just assumed tha they do.

Absolutely. The wording of settings is always up for debate because especially in the en-US variety it’s essentially coming from the developers directly, and as such prone to difficult wordings — that’s why we want feedback and suggestions from our users so direly!
