Invincible season 3 has been off to a pretty strong start. After I finished s2, I binge read the entire comic in 2 days, so I’m not going into this one blind, which I thought would hinder my enjoyment, but luckily it really hasn’t!

New Spider-Man show has been surprisingly good. I had the lowest of expectations for it, so the fact I’m enjoying it so much has come as a shock. Has the potential to be an all-time great if the quality remains this strong!

Read All-Star Superman for the first time. I think it’s slightly overrated. It’s a good story, does plenty of interesting things with the character, but it’s not the masterpiece some make it out to be. A solid 7/10 comic.

I am all for Alan Ritchson as Batman! A lot of people say he definitely has the Bats side down, thanks to Reacher, but doesn't have the charisma for playboy Bruce. I disagree. In interviews he seems to have all the charisma one could need to be the perfect Bruce too!

The newest issue of Zdarsky's Batman run was... fine? Russian Court of Owls is a silly concept. I'm glad we have only one issue left till this run is over. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I am actually excited for Hush's return.

I'll go further and say I think they should do the yellow oval emblem, and whilst we're at it give us a good take on the Blue and Gray costume. Black is overdone in the movies so far.

Really enjoying DC's Absolute line so far. Both Superman and Wonder Woman have been interesting takes on the characters. Batman has been good too, but its not done anything super unique with the Bruce Wayne not being a billionaire thing yet. Regardless, excited to see where they all go from here.

For sure. Great art can definitely carry a weaker story, and awful art can absolutely ruin a masterpiece (Salvador Larocca’s art on the 2015 Star Wars run comes to mind)

I love what season two did with Kara, and Brainiac was definitely an interesting take on the character. My only real problem is that using Kryptonian tech for every villain does mean visually they are all similar, but honestly its such a minor gripe for me. I highly recommend the show to everyone.

The other day I binged both seasons of My Adventures With Superman, and it was awesome. I love the chemistry between Clark and Lois, especially in season one. The characters are all awesome, and I really like this take on Jimmy Olsen. It has some cool unique takes on some DC villains too.

This may have all come across negative, but I want to cap this off by saying, I do like all of these runs but I am critical of them because I know we can get better. I want Batman to stop being so doom-and-gloom, and for us to finally get another modern classic, instead of more average stories.

What we need is for a writer to get us back on track, fix the Bat-Fam issues, and give us a classic Batman story. Whilst I don't love Batman Hush, it is a good back to basics story. Loeb and Lee coming back to write Hush 2 may be just what Batman needs to fix this mess the character is in.

Batman editorial is nearing Spider-Man levels of stupidity rn and its honestly super annoying. And to pile on more issues, the writing hasn't been the most consistent. King's run was rushed (even if that wasn't his fault), Tynion kept creating new OCs rather than fleshing out existing characters,

Secondly, the editorial oversight. DC editorial seem committed to ruining every run. King wants to marry Bruce and Selina, editorial says no, and then rushes the back half of his run, ruining it completely. Up till then King was super solid, but it all falls apart there.

First of all, Batman is almost always a loner. The Bat-Family are some of the coolest characters in comics, but DC don't seem to agree. Every single run something has to happen to make them fall out with Bruce. I am so sick of the character assassination that happens every single time.

Scott Snyder's Batman run was my entry-way into comic books, and since then I have dived into many facets of the character, but I have a few problems with everything Batman post-New 52.

Watched Superman 1978 for the first time, and I have to say, it really holds up for a film pushing 50 years old soon. Christopher Reeve is excellent as both Clark and Superman, perfectly embodying both aspects of the character. Hope Gunn's new movie can come close to this level of excellence!

Yeah, his Batman is definitely not on the same level as his Daredevil for example. I am also kinda excited for the next run, but at the same time I don’t love the original Hush story. That being said, I do love most of Loeb’s Batman outside of it, so hopefully Hush 2 is better

I find RoS to be one of those movies that's so bad it's kinda good? Like if I switch my brain off and just watch, its a beautiful looking movie with a mostly non-sensical plot that I can enjoy the spectacle of even if its majorly lacking in any substance.
