You will forget about it as quickly as it came because you will inundated with 20 more slop videos on your way to the thing you actually care about.

The real raw truth of the matter is that tier tech of will continue to be useless for people who actually about their craft, largely bc it's not meant for them. It's for the one guy who thinks having an idea and making it sorta real is enough, regardless of if the end product is actually good.

It's hard for me to be black-pilled by a new video model able to get "CG quality character animation" right when it still can't remember the layout of a scene correctly, can't have shots last longer than 5 seconds, doesn't know what cocking a gun looks like, generate actually legible bg text, etc

The appeal of art isn't just the macro-decisions that form the whole piece but also the tiny, insignificant micro-decisions the really finish tie the whole thing together. Part of the reason that I don't give into AI doomerism is because it will never be good the second part...

Most game series I got turned on as kid were through compilations of the classics during that era, to be honest. But yeah getting that disc with our GameCube that Christmas legit got me waaaaay into video games.

Yeah, though I'm admittedly only using it in a "tip of the iceberg" kinda way atm. Similar to YarnSpinner, you can have it emit a signal to any node that's "listening" and have it do whatever you need it to (it will get spit out to that node in string format however)

My big thing I would like to have regardless is the ability to have some sort action scripting to go alongside basic dialogue/text systems. Using YarnSpinner to make whole ass cutscenes for a contracted project legit changed me tbh.
