Escape Space is a place where anyone with a strong enough mental psyche can retreat to when real life feels too stressful. Gameplay wise, Mike comes here from time to after events in the game. Mike is in his Escape Space. the area being named, "One Night Dream" after Boggy's theme from Kaiser Knuckle. His Escape Space is basically a recreated version of parts of Autumn Bay directly after what's known as the "Alfred Incident". But for some reason, he does indeed find comfort in this being his space.

I think I've solved a few issues for npcs thanks to the rpg maker character generator and GIMP of all things. I needed a very distinct looking group of npcs/antagonists, so I decided to test filtering sideview actors with GIMP and I dig it. lots of possibilites.

one of the coolest things about Panic Attack! is that because it's based on very old ideas I had for a comic. I can still use said ideas because I never made the comic. Basically this game is a love letter to those ideas. so much so, that the game takes place after the original comic idea.

Just realized with a that event signals Plugin for rpg maker mz, that you can basically use it to fake a hit box. attach a signal to you and add an exact range, then trigger that range within another event and you can have destructible objects, hit enemies, etc...

in Panic Attack!, exploration works a bit different compared to most rpgs. once you leave the apartment complex after the opening, the idea is to explore and engage in events with different characters in the game. think of it less like going town to town, but npcs starting a new arc.

Assist Me! During battles, your third party member primarily acts as an assist. When there's at least one assist level, tag in your friends. If you ask them to act before they're turn, they'll ask if you're rushing them. keep it up and they'll just go off on you. #PanicAttackRpg, #indiegame, #rpg

Ray uses the command, "Assist Me!", in battle. With Diana as the assist character, you can see her face at the bottom of the screen and the name of the move she can currently use based on her assist level. here it's level 1 and the tech available is "Ice Edge". Using the command the first time has Diana say, "Well, I guess I can help...".

Stock up Mental Psyche to add follow up a friend's attack. you can do it by blocking for one. Now if your friends do certain combos, someone can follow up with their own attack, like Mike does here. Use MP to your advantage to get as many actions as possible. #PanicAttackRpg, #indiegame, #rpg

yeah, I've been playing SNK stuff since Fatal Fury 2 on Sega back when my dad got it for me back in like 1996. and once I found KoF on Dreamcast, I've been playing their stuff ever since. KoF, Fatal Fury, Metal Slug, etc... and now I just feel down when I think about how things are going with them.

Mike and Ray are about to engage in battle with Stealit and Psycho Visioner from the Pawn Gang. Stealit is like the assassin rogue and fights with a dagger. Psycho Visioner is the mage who uses a controller as a staff. Wade, their leader, uses both of these weapons, along with W Night's shield.

Mike approaches a stranger who asks "Did you need something? If not, leave me alone." a mysterious girl can be seen glitching next to them.

Mike questions if the stranger has what's called an "Idea".

After transforming into LO-FI, Mike sees the true form of the stranger. They're what's called a void. LO-FI says, "Oh shit... It was void all along. Wait, do you mean I can see through that now?" This is in reference to a muffin he eats at the start of the game that his brother made that has certain "ingredients" in it that allow someone to see voids they can't see otherwise.

The mystery girl says to herself, "Dad... your chaos is never-ending, I see)."

Versus screen of Mike vs. professional wrestler, Triple M!... her name is based on wrestler Triple H. it stands for Mary Mars McQueen. Her fighting style is closer to that of Hugo from Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike in particular. She wears a TV screen as a "helmet" of sorts. But it's really her "Idea" (aka something akin to Stands from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Her Idea allows her to study your fighting style by "reviewing the tape". she can watch any of the last 3 fights you've had in general and study those to see a weakness.

Mike shouldn't have ate one of Andre, aka Noise's, muffins... This actually ties into the gameplay mechanic of your mood. The entirety of the game, Mike needs to either be calm or hype. If he gets anxious, his environment changes. and if he panics... oof. #PanicAttackRpg, #indiegame, #rpg

Mike is in battle against a Vagabond Void and his brother, Andre can be seen too. He's not a part of the actual fight, but can be manipulated in ways to add to it. still trying to see to what extent events can interact during a battle.
