Every year I try to draw something for my spouse to mark the anniversary of our wedding~ that I've had to also add a new cat two years in a row was not something I expected lol. Printed out and hanging on our wall. I don't see my art off the screen enough. Its a good feeling~

A friend was goofing around practicing pixel art and made a Big Dumpy Patrick sprite in the style of Breath of Fire 4 and once I saw his I needed to make my own pink dumpy boi. Ryu on the left is a straight game rip for comparison so nevermind his nudie self

It's weird that despite seeing the flaws in this 2013 version, I was still intimidated to do another full vector piece. I still like this one, but the anatomy and composition needed an update~

Back in the early 2010's I had a mascot character of sorts in this girl, Twee. Did a lot of vector art with her in particular. This is a remake of a wallpaper piece from 2013~ always loved the colors I used wanted to do it better justice (2013 piece in the comments)

Some aimless doodling last night that turned into me and @nerkson.bsky.social's old Fallout characters. Sort of. Cuz i didn't bother to stop to look up references lol. but I like how it came out. Poor ghoul boy got his wig pilfered~

It's been a while since I drew any weird little guys, so here's a weird little guy

A strange creature that looks sort of like the top of an old green man's head with bulging eyes and four long fangs peaking out of a bushy beard. The top of the skull looks peeled open and out of it comes a skeletal spine, atop which sits a third, larger eye that is itself partially encased by a different skull and a few other bone-like shapes.

Playing Slay the Spire 2. Defect run. Really silly run with Prismatic Shard, but anyway, I had Creative Al. A card that gives you a new Power card every turn. there are 19 possible power cards. 1/19 odds. It gave me *another copy of Creative Al every single until I won the fight, 4 turns later*

So i've found myself the parent of another stray~ this one just immediately ran up to me and my partner both times it came by our house so we scooped him up. Super affectionate little dude. photo is right after he had a wash, so doing his best Sonic Spindash impersonation~

Had a very Kingdom Hearts dream. Maleficent got teleported in by another villain while I was fighting. Caught her totally off guard. Bopped her and her headpiece with the horns came off and she just looked like this:

I love messing around with mockup game UI designs too much~ Usually I do it in pixel art, but decided to make this one vector for a change. Caelia ended up there by virtue of being the easiest headshot for me to grab lol.

Sometimes for fun I like to go through old game sprites and see how I'd rework them. These are all the non-boss enemies in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest - top is the OG, the 2nd row is my edit, and below are the alt colors just to see how they'd look too. Always loved the personality these guys had~

One day while complaining that my handwriting was too awful to letter my comics instead of using a font, one of my friends told me to go out and buy a child's Learning to Write kind of book and practice with the line guides. So instead I made a digital set of line guides and omg its wonderful!

My mind reeled, overwhelmed by the sheer immensity of what power I had wrestled free from the clutches of reality.

It appeared that while in the presence of danger, I need only concentrate my mind on the Spirit Realm in a particular manner and I could loosen the bonds gripping my corporeal form allowing me to bypass even the most solid of matter. Gravity itself loses its hold. And so, unbound, I pass though the seams of the world. My title of wraith more true now than ever, it seemed.

I do not know what awaits me should I fall into that strange abyss, but I fear losing my way and plunging into its depths would lead to a harsher fate than even the swirling hell that granted me this cursed existence.

Time itself seems to cease it's march while I remain in this state. I wondered: to an outside observer, do I seem to simply cease to exist in one place only to materialize without warning or cause at my destination?

Time, I am told, abhors a paradox. Her twin sister Space, however, was proving to be far more amenable to my needs...

A very bad mouse drawing of what could be called a horse if you're being very generous. It's head is more cow than horse and things only get worse down its too-long body. There is a scribble of a cowbow riding the horse but they are far too small and holding what is either a revolver or a blowdryer. The horse itself is on what might be called a skateboard if, again, you are feeling far more generous than you ought to be.

You'd think, looking at this, that I'd of bought the FFT remake but I'm a weirdo~ And while I say Phantasy Star 4 needs a remake, no i don't, because i dont want it modernized. BotW being biggest personal impact, well I do love that game, but my comics of it were the first time I got wide attention

Oh yeah, its Mario Day aint it? I don't draw the plumber much, but have something from 2017 to celebrate boos being added back into Mario Kart 8 in the Deluxe release~ (originally one long image, excuse the slight jankiness of this cut up version from tumblr)

Mario speeds towards the finish line in first place as he notices a blue shell hot on his trail. But never fear, he has a Super Horn or whatever that item's official name is, that destroys blue shells!

The blue shell gives Mario a tender kiss on the cheek as Mario gleefully slams his finger down on the horn's button! But there is no honk - he looks down at his hand in terror as he notices the horn is missing. The blue shell licks his cheek.

Mario notices the Boo beside him, and looks back, pleading and sniffling, as the Boo leaves with his horn. The blue shell has turned monsterous and glows bright, opening a horrible maw to consume the plumber. The final panel has a bright explosion in the sky with mario's burning, tread-marked flattened hat on the road beneath, with the 12th Place text now prominent in the corner.

#LoZ part 3! Something a bit different, and not rooted (heh) in BotW - decided to shove all the various Forest Creatures into one big pokemon style family. Baba -> Korok -> Scrub -> Kokori/Skullkid Had a lot of fun adapting the Deku Princess from Majora's Mask to fit with the new ideas~

The text on the image reads: The Great Swamp that overtook the home of the Gorons was quickly filled by Deku Babas. Soon the Babas seeds came alive. Some grew into scrubs. A few scrubs grew into child-like forms. The Dekus appear on the surface to be a proper kingdom with a
royal family but it is more like children playing strange games.

#LoZ p2! Malon's been having trouble with thieves and ruffians lately, and while Yunobo might not have a threatening personality, just having someone around that could bench press a friggin' barn is pretty good deterrence. Shame that not all the ranch's problems can be solved with muscle...

An Ask over on Tumblr shared their headcanon for Yunobo having a weak tummy for seeing the squishy innards of other beings and wrote a little bit about Purah dissecting, something in front of him, and that got me thinking about Goron Barf~

a two panel comic. the first has Yunobo saying "Oh that's so gross! Goro... I think I'm gonna..." with a very ill look on his face. The second panel has a comical rendition of him barfing up chucks of rock, to which Purah exclaims "Wow! Free and easy gravel!" while taking photos. While I'm in a Zelda mood, remembering this trio of Gerudo me and my friends made after TotK came out. Kosha's the tiny one that loves the sea, Lachoo lives to race and travels with her sand seal everywhere, and Calyza's on a journey to find love but has a very tenuous grasp on what a hylian is~

Playing through Majoras Mask again got me thinking what if we got that style of sequel to BotW/TotK. Alternate universe versions of characters in different situations~ Then it kind of expanded out into incorporating the series as a whole. #Riju #LoZ

Fun fact: Silvana's experience with the snakes is adapted from the myth of Tiresias! [🧵 2/2]

Page 1: Asterion the bull-man cheers on the returning Sheeple troupe and the rest of the cast, saying that while the crowd may have been small they loved it. Caelia then calls for Silvana to wait for her, timidly inviting Sil to join her for a trip to the bath house, nervously overtalking. Sil, slightly worried, says she would be happy to join but that whats under her robes "might not meet expectations."

Page 2: Caelia is surprised and worried she's offended Silvana, having assumed that all nymphs were girls. Silvana assures her that she isn't wrong before recounting a story of how she had gone out on a walk, encountered two snakes which she hit with a stick, and had her "bits all switched" by an unseen magical force. Caelia is taken aback by the idea that such a thing can just happen to someone out of the blue and Silvana agrees, saying that it was news to her when it happened.

Page 3: Silvana gets a bit uncomfortable as Caelia gets lost in what appears to be an intense bout of thinking but it ends with Caelia simply exclaiming that she doesn't remember ever hitting any snakes herself, which confuses Silvana. Caelia says she'll have to ask her dad the next time the group is out eastward which further confuses Silvana, as Caelia is supposedly an Amazon, famously an all-female group. Caelia reluctantly admits that while she is indeed an amazon, there was some sort of mix up and she was instead raised by the gargarians, who are the all-male counterpart of the amazons, hence her wonderings about the snake hitting. She also admits to never actually having been around girls very much, before getting very eager that Silvana is here now and that she wants to hang out with her! Silvana laughs and agrees, and Caelia gets very excited.

Page 4: a single panel taking place some time shortly after with Silvana and Caelia sitting together in a bath house, Caelia happily chatting away (the conversation itself is indistinct) while Silvana laughs.

Post a game you remember playing but nobody else remembers. Deepest of cuts with this - the only version of RISK i have ever enjoyed, because whenever invading in this version you got to play a goofy minigame where you blasted enemy troops with a canon~ 2 player as a kid was pretty entertaining

Was talking to a doomer friend who gave up art long before all the latest bullshit came around and got really invigorated remembering that drawing is just fucking COOL! Give up? Buddy, I cannot even begin to communicate how awesome being an artist is!
