Its ok to use references for 3d figures (and in general). A 3d model or even a physical figure can help! As you analyze and recreate it in your mind, use basic shapes like spheres and cubes. There's tons of tutorials and free resources for exactly this problem! (This one I found on google)

Go into it with an open and curious mind! Practicing fundamentals is good but also let yourself doodle for the sake of fun. Start with whatever inspires you, and let yourself flow into new things to try. As long as youre drawing and having fun, you're doing it right!

a looong time ago I used to do perma, but I stopped because preds kept complaining that my characters were not fleshed out enough or clones with different names. The ones that did only put in the effort for a 1 and done. If I wanted to play with them again, I'd have to make a new char... no thnx.
