Abandoned: In context, it is set in a ringworld like Halo (but smaller as you can see) and is supposed to be an abandoned old ruin, but it has a large orb that is still being active for a reason. As you can see, I put it diagonally as part of practice, and I thought it would be nice on it. #pixelart

Inspired by the Artemis II successful launch to space. When I saw that, it felt as though this 50-year dream of going to the moon and beyond had reignited its sparks. I cannot say whether it is truly enough to start the flame, but I find it comforting that there is still hope for this old dream.

To become a Penitent is to strip ones sense of life and being in the presents and to become the ghost of your past. Usually those who lose their will to live would take their own life in this case is a much worse path to take. To become a wraith who seeks vengeance on those who wrong you in hopes of seeking out forgiveness to ones sins. They can never stop the they take took to make up for their penitence has made they all but human. In their search of vengeance they give up their humanity, and even with that, they will never find peace.

Reworks: I have been working on remodeling the project, working and practicing other skills, such as paper and digital arts, which I have taken, and haven't had much chance to do much pixel art. But hopefully things will get back on track.

Art Life and Reconsiderations: Read Alt text to understand. Comment and feedback are welcomed for this post. #pixelart

Now I have been drawing for a few years, I used to do traditional art on paper for the first couple of years which I still do though mostly for practice and brainstorming.

Now it’s been since summer 2024 when I started doing pixel art, trying things out like character designs, landscapes, and animations.

I got practice things like how to make lighting and shadows and giving texture details like on the metal and textiles.

Now as I see how I am going I am now uncertain what is the next step. I have had comments that some of my designs don’t seem to work well with the medium. The main reasons for me to doing things like digital is mainly that pixel art helps restrict movement for the pixels which where useful for me who only has a mouse and not a pen tablet (yet). I also just really enjoy the aesthetic of it, especially for me who enjoys games with pixels like Light Drifter and Dead Cells.

But besides those points I can see as to what the comments meant as some of the inspirations for my works were based of digital art.

This is what leads me make this post. Now I have to consider to embrace digital art in my pieces, as to what platform to use for this, I like some feedback as to what it could be a good fit. Don’t get it wrong I do enjoy making pixel art and plan to continue using so but perhaps it’s time to consider a hybrid approach of using both digital and pixel art.

Many farm has what we call a scarecrow. Something to keep away the crows who go to eat the crops. The Marksman is only one out of thousands watching over the fields on top of their tower which beam light into the sky. Having spent four centuries, primed to the abiltity of using a rifle as if it were your own limb, granted with eyes to see what is within and without. Whether the Marksman thrill for the shot of blood, does pity ever engulf them every time they must take a life, either beast or man, matters little. For it is the role of a Marksman to be the scarecrow, always watching, always waiting, till the scarecrows come to strike once more.
