God as my witness this is my timeline and explains everything.

Tonight’s lunar eclipse taken on an iPhone 17 Pro Max. 27 August 2026 at about 23:00.

Lunar Eclipse of 27 August 2026 from Northeast Wisconsin. 96% totality. A reddish orange color over lost of it with a bright sliver at the top where the Earth’s shadow wont reach.

Work in progress: Warhammer 40000 Kill Team: XV-26 Stealth Suits. Planning on more work. The optical part of the helmets need paint, along with cleaning up the bases, and adding metallic paints to parts. Feels good to paint a focused team instead of a whole army and not use white paint.

Warhammer 40000 Kill Team minis work in progress. Two drones, five stealth suits, and a beacon mini. Painted in a base coat of black with dark green colors. There is a tan stone color basing on most of the models.

I’m convinced that Niagara Falls is best experienced from the Canadian side.

Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. Panoramic shot of all 3 falls in the system. Early April with lots of ice still at the base of the falls. The horseshoe falls had a lot of mist kicking up.

How it started versus how it’s going. It’s a clear reminder that I need to trust my process that I started with my other T’au Empire models. I have more work to do but it’s getting into a place I’m happier with. #Warhammer40000

How it started: a Warhammer 40000 T’au Empire Stormsurge model legs with base partially covered with technical base paint that makes it look like desert. Legs are painted white and black as a start and has areas masked off to cover paint. The base has some panels painted a metal color and there is a space marine on the ground covered with a silver panel that has its edges masked so the marine can be painted.

Legs in a more final state of paint. Grey paneling is painted on, and the lines are filled with a sepia colored paint to make it look weathered in the lines. The base is completely covered and the rocks are painted to match the basing paint in a sandy tan color.

How it started and how it’s going

Primed Warhammer 40,000 miniature. Figure in cloak with scythe, lightning, and scarabs.

Same miniature as other picture but with Citadel Stegadon Scale Green paint applied to the robes with an attempt at starting a gradient. A work in progress that will require additional coats of the paint and a better attempt to make the gradient from darker at the top to lighter at the bottom

What is even happening right now? This is my timeline:

Post at the top mentioning that someone’s girlfriend hates Ned. The second post is a Farside comic (by Gary Trudeau) that says “You’re cheating, Ned.” The comic depicts two birds sitting in a tree.

Turkey. I think I’m getting the hang of it.

Roasted turkey fresh from the oven in a roasting pan. Golden brown skin, trussing strings still attached.

“The fittest president ever”… isn’t. This is my surprised face.

“Superman is an alien from Krypton! How dare you say he’s an allegory for immigrants!”

Picture of Alex Keaton as Beetlejuice from the movie “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” seated and smirking at the camera in his disheveled white and black striped suit, implying a sense of “Seriously??”

Homemade applewood smoked pulled pork for today’s shenanigans.

Pulled pork in a slow cooker after reheating. 10 lbs of pork that was brined over night, and then smoked for 7 hours. Not mushy but still pullable. Seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, cinnamon, cumin, medium hot chili powder, and apple cider vinegar.

And now for something different for your timeline: my second Warhammer model in a playable state. It’s a T’au Empire XV-88 Broadside Battlesuit. I may go back and touch up a couple of things but I am content with how it looks. I’m learning a lot of how to build and paint these. #Warhammer40000

Warhammer 40000 T’au Empire XV-88 Broadside Battlesuit in Vior’la Sept coloring: white, red, and grey. Model is inspired by Japanese style mechs. The main weapon is a rail rifle. The base is made to look like arid desert like terrain.

I can paint bases pretty well at least… still working on the model that goes on it. Honestly I think this is some of my best paint work on a miniature so far.

Warhammer 40,000 base for a model named Commander Farsight, a T’au Empire character who by the story is a heretic and has created a splinter faction. Base is a grey stone with small trees protruding from either side with white and blue flowers. There are also brown tufts of foliage, a skull, and a desert-like floor. There are also paint pots and unpainted but primed minis in the background.

AAP has it right: care is between the child, their parents, and their doctors. Nowhere in the process does the government need to be involved. Even in the case of “universal healthcare.” The government should not and cannot be an HMO.

Screenshot of AAP rebuttal to HHS report on transgender-related care. They cite that AAP research was cited in the report inaccurately or out of context, and states that their position is that care is between the patient, their families, and their doctors. Politicians and government officials have no right to say what care is best.

My cute if sometimes annoying cat Mickey. He was always good for a cuddle or doing his impression of a parrot. From a scrawny cold barn kitten to a cat I took to calling Old Man. A cat who was sometimes too much under foot. It’s been 3 hours since he passed. I’m wrecked and so is my kid.

Dark grey cat named Mickey perched on my shoulder, sleeping. A favorite spot of his.

Swipe your rewards cards. Yes you’re giving up some privacy for it but it can pay. It saved me $2.17/gallon.

Gas pump receipt. Gallons pumped was 8.877. Price per gallon was $0.729. Total cost was $6.47. Rewards program card reduced the price by $2.17/gallon.

I have experienced serendipity for the first time here on Bluesky. And I’m marking it suggestive because well yeah.

Two Bluesky posts as they came in my timeline. The top post is about Carrie Underwood performing at the 2025 inauguration and her comments about it. The second is a topless woman with hands covering her exposed breasts/nipples with her middle fingers extended which expresses the same sentiment I have about the subject of Underwood’s performance.

So… one of the things I enjoy is cooking. There are very few things I cook twice in the same way because that’s how I do it. Tonight’s dinner was beef stew in the slow cooker. #Foodie
