It appears my DMs here have been locked behind age verification…I’m real sick of this version of the future they’re trying to force on us….

An age verification screen for Bluesky in order to access private chats. It reads: Vhats. Age assurance. We’re sorry, you cannot access this screen at this time. Due to laws in your region, certain features on Bluesky are currently restricted until you’re able to verify you’re an adult.

Don’t worry! All existing messages and settings are saved and will be available after you verify you’re an adult.

My neighborhood in Detroit got smacked incredibly hard by a tornado yesterday. The power is out & considering DTEs track record & the extent of the damage no telling how long it’ll take to restore.

A blue industrial building in disrepair after a tornado ripped through the area during a storm in Detroit.

Tilted damaged power lines cascading down a street blocked off by police tape after being hit by a tornado.

A damaged industrial building with it’s roofing stripped & the mural covered walls damaged & knocked over.

A small park with several large branches down as strewn about the street & sidewalk. Damage from a powerful storm where a tornado landed.

40 years of Metroid. I made this piece in 2017, wild how time flies.

A digital painting of the Nintendo character Samus. She is mid-air with her arm cannon extended while descending into a catacomb inhabited by a large amount of the translucent green aliens known as Metroid. Not far off in the distance the winged space pirate Ridley is swooping in to attack Samus with his talons out stretched & his mouth flung open baring his teeth.

Was curious about showtimes & I thought this shit was funny.

A screenshot of a google search for the Christopher Nolan film “The Odyssey” where the ai overview describes the film as being directed by Fede Álvarez.

I don’t typically draw with sharpies, but I have a few different color ones laying around & been experimenting with them lately.

A portrait sketch of a Black woman with an afro looking left drawn in orange & brown sharpie marker. There’s purple & blue patterns stemming up from her head. The sharpies used are on the paper to the left of the drawing.

Hi, there’s actually a setting under accessibility that you can toggle that will require you put alt-text on all images before posting if that makes it easier for you.

A screenshot of Bluesky’s alt text accessibility settings. It reads Accessibility. Alt text. require alt text before posting, which is toggled on. Display larger alt text badges, which is toggled off.

Trying to get into a regular habit of intentionally making space to draw with my kid. I sketched this Mina since it’s been the topic of discussion last few weeks in our house.

A blue pencil sketch of Mina the Hollower. She’s standing at the ready with her strewn between her hands.

I love social media, ppl are hilarious (hysterical)

A modest comment on a beetlemoses comic about a Trex struggling reach a ticket to park it’s car.

The comment reads: “Sad to see you resorting to punching down”

A bsky user by the handle Insignificant Human replies: “What the fuck is that supposed to mean?”

Another user responds on behalf of the original poster: “joke insinuating that dinosaurs are a minority and that this is making fun of their characteristics (aka punching down).”

To which the insignificant replier predictably responds: “Anyone who thinks this joke is insinuating the dino is a minority is an idiot. T-rex has small arms, he can’t reach the ticket machine. Geezus. Some people need to lighten the fuck up.”

A lil sneak peak at something I’m working on for BHM. Drawing some radical Black folks everyday this month that have been instructive for me & that I think more people should know about. Might rework/ink these, but enjoy the loose pencil sketches.

Three pencil sketch portraits of radical Black figures drawn on paper lined up on a desk next to a mechanical pencil & green electric eraser. From left to right the portraits are of Kawasi Balagoon, Jonina Abron-Ervin, & Lucy Parsons, respectively.

Gotta sketch with my copics more, fiddlin’ with colors on some loose inks.

A loose ink sketch of a woman glowing colored with warm orange & red copic markers. She lightly smiles with her arms bent at her sides and her hands curled into ginger fists.

Gotcha Force. I’ve wanted a sequel for the last 26 years, lol. If I could gather the resources & talent, I’d create a spiritual successor to this game myself.

The cover to the 2003 cult classic Gotcha Force for the Nintendo Gamecube. The words Gotcha Force are prominent and stylized with the letter O in both words connecting like a pair of gears.

Front and center are the main character Kou a young anime style boy with orange hair, a white shirt with black & red trim on the collar & sleeves, and black cargo shorts & red, white & black sneakers.

Next to him is his toy-sized partner G Red, a red, white, and black robot with a blue sword drawn at it’s side.

Had a few mins left so I scribbled this but then icloud took forever to sync so I’m late anyway lmao #Makeaterriblecomicday2025

A terrible 3 panel comic of the artist frantically running around before falling on their face trying to come up with a terrible comic before the day is up. Oh well.

Folks wanna see the Pokemon cake I sketched up for my kids birthday? Originally conceived of as a 2-tier based on Koraidon & Miraidon. The baker wanted close to $500 though so going for a simpler 1-tier design now. 😅

Just received my copy of Jackson Rising Redux & I did not expect it to be twice the size of the original. 😲 Pm press slipped me in a lil sumn, too 😏 @coopjax.bsky.social

A copy of Jackson Rising on top of the new edition Jackson Rising Redux by Cooperation Jackson. Edited by Kali Akuno & Matt Meyer. A copy of the zine Anarchist Unionism: A forgotten but glorious history is also prominently in frame on a desk.
