One of the guys in the comments explained that they weren't against the devs adding female dragons, they just wanted a toggle to choose which ones you want to interact with. I can kinda see where they're coming from. They're not against the idea, just taken aback with what they thought the game is.

You're right. This dude in question made a follow up response to explain he was asking for a toggle to change what characters you want to interact with. I feel bad seeing that he got lumped in with those other people who were clearly being misogynistic, when he wasn't saying "ew, women".

I'm hoping that any added content with non-male characters can be disabled completely.

To expand on this: I bought this game specifically because it's a preciously rare example of a purely gay furry game, and a damn good one at that. If non-male characters were to be added, it feels like it would be a bit of a bait and switch. Ideally, non-male characters could be added to a separate version of the game, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if they were added to this game provided it would be configurable to be playable without them.

It gets bizarre. They admitted on Steam they had actual people on board who reviewed the original languages and the AI translation to ensure it's accurate. They already had a translation team on board! There's literally no reason for them to use AI tools in the first place!

The AI tools they used for translation gets even more bizarre. On Steam, they said they had actual people involved to "ensure the AI translation is accurate". Then why not use the translators first then? This is Matrix Corporation admitting they did their work backwards.

I hope you see this because I've been dying to share something interesting about this game with you for ages. The story in the Japanese version is different from the American version. It also explains why the game is called "Abadox". If you can translate this in proper English, it would be rad!

The anti-Nintendo sentiment is also why people are defending Palworld's decision to rip on the Pokemon designs. It caused Pickmos to exist, which is even more shameless than Palworld, AND it ripped on that and Pokemon. At least Palworld can be seen as a parody, this is just pathetic.

I think they knew what they're doing, because they planned on selling this body pillow in the future. It would be OK if Palworld is marketed and aimed towards mature audiences, but the game is rated T for Teen, so this comes off as sickening.

In terms of Mon games, Telefang sticks out to me because as someone put it - the designs make no sense. Pokemon is existing concepts with elemental themes. Digimon is Tamagotchi, as made by Bandai. Telefang has monsters living in a tree that you can call up with a cellphone. Look at them!

What's funny is that Palworld had some of the more obvious designs changed when it left EA, and people went silent when they said "they're not copying!". Left is the original, right is the final. I added in captions to explain what was changed between them.

Verdash:

The original design has its body shape ripped from Cindrance. The new redesign gave it a new body shape entirely.

Robinquill:

The original has the head of Gallade and the legs of Blaziken. The revised design nixed a lot of it and changed its colour, while keeping the original "Robin Hood" inspiration intact. There is a bit of Gallade in the final, but not as apparent here.

Fengallop:

The original design is just Cobalion. The revised design changed its colour to purple and redesigned the horns to fit with its new theme of being based on clouds and wisps.

Grintale:

The original used Galarian Meowth's face. The revised design tweaked the eyes and changed the teeth to be more straight, making the Chesire Cat inspiration a lot closer than it was in the original.

They literally made a game where you generate AI art to fool players in this Among Us-styled game. If they said "we don't use Gen AI for our games", then why did you make a game about it? If the game DID use Gen AI assets, this is before Steam made it mandatory for devs to disclose it.

Yeah, it's way worse. At least TBSK revised covers kept that goofy whimsy. I don't know what happened with those Animorphs covers. Though the other two covers isn't that bad, though it's not the same. What makes it worse is that Scholastic had the opposite case of executive meddling at the time.

Game Freak did not file the lawsuit, that was Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. Even then, they only filed a patent lawsuit. Copyright lawsuits is only possible if they rip on the designs 100%, like this Chinese game that they sued, and won.

To prove this, someone on GameBanana made a texture swap for Yoshi to look like how he did in Island, and he looks decent from certain angles! It's a shader problem because without it, the snout looks like its fused with his body, which looks more natural.

If you compare to the 2D art of modern Yoshi and look at the 3D ones, it's pretty apparent that the design didn't translate well. I think they used a bad choice of shaders for the keyart.

From "Grizzly Tales For Gruesome Kids": Snake Nanny & Alligator Nanny from "The New Nanny". The Crocodile from "Crocodile Tears". There might be more, not sure. Despite the show not being afraid to kill or punish kids (and adults) for their bad behavior, some of them are good and get spared.
