Published my fall newsletter yesterday; basically just a little blog post of all my favorite art I've drawn the last few months, plus project things I've been up to! 🍂 ko-fi.com/post/Fall-Ne...

A drawing of two kids underneath a tree, overlooking a lake.

I'm trying out using ko-fi as a freebie seasonal newsletter (in lieu of the fact that I don't seem to have any energy for social media right now). If you want a way to keep up with what I've been doing!! ko-fi.com/post/Summer-...

Shoving myself in the #tdov tag 'cuz I'd like to have more friends who are like meee; you miss all the shots you don't take something-something..... I like to write comics/visual novels and make art involving my own characters! I enjoy other people who are passionate about their own OCs too!!

A drawing of a family of five eating ice cream at the beach.

Drawings of my character Sasha modelling various outfits.

A comic of a cow kid eating grass while his human friend looks on in confusion and (slight) disgust.

Another drawing of a bunch of characters hanging out at the beach. I really like beach drawings, okay.

I made a little point-and-click visual novel... Explore a conservatory on a dark, rainy day to help a (sorta) grandpa (sorta) vampire (sorta) find his stolen memory. It's about 20-30 minutes long; free to read and playable in browser!! kzel.itch.io/rain

A drawing of two characters smiling at each other. Text says: "When It Rains."

A screencap of my visual novel. The character speaking is a little bug guy begging not to get squished by a flyswatter.

A drawing of two characters with text of their names, Mugu and Bo. Mugu is very shy; while Bo is completely deadpan.

Happy Halloween!!! 🎃 Some stuff I did in Drawpile this month

A drawing of my character Millie dressed as a vampire, making a playful expression.

A drawing of my characters Millie and James carving pumpkins together. Millie has her jack-o-lantern raised to her face like a mask; James is chuckling about it.

A drawing of my characters Millie and Kade. They are in a dressing room as Kade paints stitches across her face for a Halloween costume.

A drawing of my characters James and Millie dressed as witches, brewing something in a large cauldron.

Oh, four orange arts...I don't think I fully understand how art shares work, but this was hard to resist... I feel like I need to draw Halloween stuff more now Anyway if anybody's reading this, hi I'm zel I draw OCs a lot 👻

A drawing of a two people walking through a subtly fantasy-ish forest.

A drawing of a father and mother holding their twin children. One of the kids is yanking on her dad's ear.

A drawing of two kids frolicking through a meadow.

A comic of a guy and a kid travelling through a forest. The guy has no sense of direction and would be in serious trouble without her.

Obligatory Overly Ambitious ArtFight Drawing of the Year (Characters belong to SunSolsticeSquirrel)

A drawing of a girl knelt down and making small glowing sparkles float above her hand. The child she's showing the sparkles to is gazing in confused amazement.

Another ref I did for ArtFight B') I wasn't planning on adding her this year, but her color scheme matched so good with Team Crystals... #OCsky

An art reference for my character, Sofie. She is big and a little bit awkward in a cutesy sort of way.

Can finally post Artfight stuff without feeling like I'm painting a big target sign on my back LMAO, anyway here's a ref for my bug guy...my little roach... #OCsky

An art reference sheet of my character Holly. All you really need to know is he is kind of a cockroach in personality, and it's reflected in his design.

If you've never read it, it's about an automaton built to play music that gets pinnochio'd & ends up reading The Velveteen Rabbit. I personally think it's some of my best work in comics. I would...appreciate your time...

A comic page of my two characters, Jack and Maestro. Maestro is kneeling down talking to Jack.

Maestro says, "If I didn't know better, I'd think you were here to read!" They then pause in thought for a moment. "...Are you curious about this place? Is that it?" Jack cocks his head in confusion.

A book floats down magically off a shelf into Maestro's hand as they continue, "Jack, this is a library, you see! Each book here has a story; each story is a glimpse into another world."

Another comic page, this time Jack is with another character, Jay.

Jay is reading aloud from a book, "Real isn't how you are made, said the Skin Horse."

Jack butts in out of shocked excitement, "How are you doing that??"

Jay continues, "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Re-"

Jack cuts him off again, "How are you doing that???"

Jay passes him the book quietly. "It's just a book. Think of it like sheet music. You already know A through G from musical scales. With words like "forte," "elegy," and so on, you should know most letters of the alphabet. Just extrapolate with the rest of them."

Jack looks down at the book in wide-eyed excitement.

Another comic page, this time with Jay and two little girls, Lena and Ellie.

Lena says, "Jay promised to teach ME to play backgammon!"

Ellie replies, "But...didn't he just teach you checkers AND solitaire? I want a turn now..."

Lena smiles smugly. "Doesn't matter; I asked him first!" Then adds as an aside, "And backgammon is way better than a dumb encyclopedia anyway!"

Ellie pouts, "You say that every time! It's not FAIR!"

She turns to Jay, "Jay, can we please read first?"
Lena cuts in, "No, play backgammon!"

Both of them start to frantically beg; he is visibly overwhelmed at having to choose between them.

Comic panels of Lena and Ellie screaming, "Rabbit story! Right here! Right now!" into Jack's ears, as he just sits there frozen in shock.

[1/2] One of my fave comics from 2021... Kids playing ball at sunset 🧁 | #OCsky | #aster | #comic

First panel of a comic with two kids, my characters Reed and Aster. Noteworthy that Aster has cow horns, ears, and a tail.

Reed is holding a ball, while Aster frantically waves saying: "Reed! Pass it to me! I'm open!! I'll catch it this time, I swear!!!"

With a slightly annoyed smirk Reed thinks, "Who else would I even pass it to."

"Right...here goes..." Reed says, while casually tossing the ball into the air. It arcs downwards and lands on one of Aster's horns with a loud "WHUNK," popping the ball instantly.

Aster clutches the ball sadly, turned away from the camera.

Reed says nervously, "You...you know I didn't do that on purpose, right??" With a caption that reads: "Sick of getting in trouble."

Aster merely says, "Mom just gave me this...and I already wrecked it..." With another caption that reads: "A 5-year-old already developing a complex."

Reed contemplates in sweaty silence.

Aster & Friends (Drawpile doodles) 🧁 | #OCsky | #aster

A drawing of my character, Aster trying on a witch hat. It is probably relevant to mention that he is five and the hat was clearly meant for an adult. It covers over half his face, with the accompanying text: "Perfect Fit."

Various drawings of Aster.

In the top left he is wearing a top hat with a cane; the text reads: "He almost looks like a phantom thief."

On the top right, he is making an L with his hand on his forehead, the text below states: "Has no idea what this means."

Drawings of Aster with my other character, Mardöll.

In the top left drawing, she has lifted him up in the air and declares with a sharp expression, "You...someday you will have eyebrows equal in power to my own. Rejoice in my prophecy." Aster is just confused.

In the middle drawing, both of them have thick eyebrows. There are a bunch of sparkles and a pink glow around them, with the text: "Maybe they're born with it, maybe it's Maybelline."

The text in the bottom left reads: "The melancholy of a five-year-old." Aster is just kind of sitting there with a blank expression.

A drawing of Aster being lifted in the air by my friend's character, Pallete. She is staring at him in mild confusion.

The text reads: "Overall Friends" (they are both wearing overalls).

Little pixel profiles I did for my VN characters back in 2021 🎹 | #OCsky | #tmatm

A 3x3 grid of little pixel character profiles. They contain information like pronouns and DnD-like stats, along with little personality blurbs.

Character info (left to right, top to bottom):

Chris - A rude and stubborn amnesiac. He actually does mean well.
James - Uptight goody-goody is a look he's intentionally curating. 100% mom friend.
Jay - Depressed and repressed. Speaking style feels like a computer that's low on RAM.
Millie - Tends to experience emotions in extremes or not at all. Will fight you.
Lena - Spunky gamer girl. Typing that out physically hurt me.
Jack - A normie forcing himself to be a bully. Unfortunately fairly good at it.
Emily - 1% evil, 99% hot gas. Really wants you to hate her, for some reason.
Amelia - Stepford Smiler. Really wants you to like her, for some reason.
Kade - Free-spirited loner. Doing trust-falls with them isn't recommended.

There's 4 more days of winter...it's totally not too late to post this...totally.... 🌈 | #OCsky | #dailydads | #comic

A drawing of my character Eliane dressing her son Aldis in winter clothes. She says, "Aldis if you still get cold even with four layers on I'm going to eat both of my shoes."

A continuation of the previous drawing; they are now out in the snow.

Eliane's girlfriend, Piemi sweatily hugs her in greeting, saying "Good morning darling honey sweetie love of my life-" Eliane replies emptily, "Forgot to order my coffee again, huh."

Meanwhile, Aldis is shivering in silence off to the side, despite being covered head-to-toe in warm clothes.

Another continuation, but a series of little doodles.

The first one: Aldis has built a snowman and is looking up at his mom, hoping for praise. She says frankly, "That is the most goddamn wonderful snowman I've ever seen."

Second drawing: Aldis laying silently in the snow, staring up at the sky. The text reads: "One with nature." Off to the side, Piemi says, "I thought he was making a snow angel, but he's been like that for over five minutes..."

Third drawing: All three of them are sitting on a bench, while Eliane & Aldis drink hot drinks. Piemi is wistfully smiling while looking down at her wallet.

Told myself I was gonna try posting doodles more often, so here's some little stuff I did in drawpile last night 🌈 | #OCsky | #dailydads

Doodles of my characters, Piemi and Eliane.

In the bottom right drawing, Piemi says, "I need you to eat all the (live) slugs in this jar...For science," with a plain expression that suggests this was a very normal request to make.

Eliane glares daggers at her as she speaks, then proceeds to smush Piemi's face with both hands. The text beneath Piemi reads: "Genuinely has no idea why this is happening."

Doodles from 2021 that I can never resist the urge to spend half an hour touching up everytime I repost them 🎹 | #OCsky | #tmatm

Doodles of my two characters, James and Millie hanging out with each other.

In one drawing, James is very obviously struggling to give Millie a piggyback ride (because he's only a little bit taller than her). She is clearly enjoying herself. In another drawing, she is hiding behind him while glaring daggers at whoever's in front of them.

A mini comic of my characters, Millie and Maestro. A sequel to part of the previous image. Maestro is giving Millie a piggyback ride, not struggling at all because he is an adult.

Millie huffs in annoyance, "It was more fun when James did it..."
Maestro replies, "Enjoyed watching the struggle, did you?"

A collage of doodles of the characters Ingo and Emmet from Pokemon.

Most notable points are that Emmet named his Joltiks "Emmet Jr" and "Emmet 2;" as well as him saying: "Someone will die-" while Ingo claps his hand over Emmet's mouth in a panic and says, "OF FUN!!"

On the 7th day of Christmas, the Maestro gave to meeee 🎹 | #OCsky | #tmatm | #comic

The first panels of a comic involving a little girl, Lena, and Maestro, who is basically her dad.

As Maestro sits at his desk working, she leans up and asks, "Hey, can I get the latest Xbox for Christmas??" With a subdued expression he replies, "...I will give it some thought."

The next panel she says, "Yaaaaaaaaaaay" and begins skipping away with a huge smile while humming. Maestro stiffens in embarrassment, "I said I'd GIVE IT SOME THOUGHT! It's NOT set in stone?!" But also she does is say "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay" again, as if she knows the Xbox is all but guaranteed at this point.

A continuation of the previous image. Maestro is now sitting alone at an old computer; the textbox reads "Looking up Xboxes despite himself."

His expression becomes one of mild panic in the next panel. He thinks to himself, "Why...why are they named like that...?? Which one is the most recent one???????" While numerous images of Xboxes with their weird stupid names float in the background.

A final continuation of the comic. Lena and Maestro are now together by a Christmas tree. He motions to several large gift boxes and says, "Here is every Xbox ever made."

In the next panel he holds out another gift to her and states, "Plus a Steam Deck, just to be on the safe side." Her expression is vaguely bemused.

Cursed extra; this comic is funnier now 'cuz I've since arbitrarily decided Sasha's birthday is on Christmas 🎇 | #OCsky | #oskoreia | #comic

A comic involving my two characters, Evelyn and Sasha.

Evelyn, wearing a Santa outfit, has Sasha sitting on her knees. With a big smile she says, "Now tell Santa, have you been naughty or nice this year?" The text box indicates he is 31 years old.

In the next panel, he blushes slightly and replies, "Wh...What happens if I say 'naughty'..."

Drawing from last year! The idea was basically "draw an OC like they're getting a Santa alt in a gacha game" heh 🎇 | #OCsky | #oskoreia

A drawing of my character Evelyn wearing a Santa-ish outfit. To the side is Mardöll, a little girl who is tearing the arms off her newly gifted bear toy with a soft expression.
