On my way to Manchester today. It’s a film related trip, which kind of makes it Zeitgeist Zero related. The last few months have been the busiest ever. But it’s all been super creative which makes me happy #goth #filmmaker #musician

THE CUPBOARD IS BARE AT Z0 HQ So... I guess I'd better put on some normal clothes and go buy groceries at the supermarket. I'm joking, of course, I don't have any normal clothes. See you in the supermarket, but what aisle do you think you'll find me in? #justforfun #goth

THE WORST Having awesome weekends like last Friday and Saturday playing shows or attending music festivals does make getting back into the swing of work the worst. The summer was a blast. I’m sharing this one from Infest Festival with the hilarious DJ Gillywoo and amazing Louisahhh

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY While the UK enjoys the day off, we’re busy working away in the studio. We’re ecording vocals for a new Zeitgeist Zero track. Although the photo in monochrome does make it look like a photo for a charity. Just £1 a week will help this poor goth escape singing servitude.

🎸 LOW END SOUNDS 🦇 Today in the studio Ian Grimm is laying down the low end for the next chapter of Zeitgeist Zero tunes. Every darkwave track needs that deep, rumbling foundation holding everything together. Stay ghoulish. 🖤 #goth #newmusic #bassguitar

IT’S SOUNDING GOOD BUT… Do any other musicians still find writing music an intense experience, no matter how many years you’ve been doing it? You’d think it would get easier with time, but every new song starting from scratch can be overwhelming.

STUDIO BAT The bat was a gift from the Bunker 13 DJs. It keeps the studio illuminated during those darker writing and recording sessions. The times where the amazing take is underwhelming during playback. Plus losing track of progress as ProTools crashes for the umpteenth time. #newmusic #goth

My friend Neil Currie (TransRadioOnline) took this picture of me this week using a vintage lens. We met up after he had been to BBC Radio Leeds to talk about Leeds Pride taking place this weekend. This year will mark its 20th anniversary. So if you’re in Leeds go along and celebrate.

MEETING ROSIE We've crossed paths over the years, but great to finally share a stage. The March Violets have been such an important part of the goth scene, so getting to play with them & film their set for my documentary was great. #Goth #PostPunk #musicdocumentary #IndependentFilm

GOTH QUESTION TIME-THE SISTERS OF MERCY Looking at old magazine cuttings of the 1980s/1990s, Sounds & NME I saw that Andrew Eldritch is referred to as Spiggy. Does anyone know where this nickname came from? Not relevant to my documentary, It’s Not Easy Being Strange. #goth #musicdocumentary

TARDY TUNES I know a few people asked on the day we DJ-ed at the World Goth Day event at Leeds City Museum what we played. I also know that since then, a few people have asked Leeds Festival of Gothica for our DJ set. So sorry it has taken me a few weeks to sort it out, but here it is. See Facebook
