I liked the first one, but, oof, I thought HATHAWAY: CIRCE was terrible. Oddly retro '90s pre-rendered-game-background-looking scenery. Sloppy rotoscoping. At least a quarter of the whole film so dim you can't make out much detail even if you're watching with the lights off. Hmm..

(Wondering how many of Sparks of Tomorrow's "impressionistic" backgrounds were actually made with AI. There's a blunt muddiness to some of them. Nonsensical architecture, wonky details. Maybe it's just some type of post-processing bullshit. Or maybe that's just what they were aiming for, idk...)

The prequel parts of the story take place in '88, 7 years before the first "Heat". Graham is as old now as De Niro was in the first movie. The sequel bit is set in 2000. Pacino's Hanna would be 60. Bale is 52. DiCaprio is TEN YEARS TOO OLD to play fuckin' Shiherlis and looks nothing like Val Kilmer!

This looks so good! I'm wondering if an actual series can maintain that level of juice. I fear an Urbance kinda situation, where a great proof of concept sort of died on the vine and slunk out as a cheap shadow of itself years after anyone cared. Really hoping that doesn't happen here!
