Well, STEAM OS is not a drop in replacement for Windows, it's pretty much an immutable Arch with STEAM and Proton preinstalled.
You can just install whatever distro with KDE and have the same experience you'd have on STEAM OS but without the cucked interface and limited flatpaks :'D
