As exhausted as I am about Star Fox being remade AGAIN... the new character designs are growing on me. Unpopular opinion, I know. The more animalistic/realistic designs are a big departure from "cute animal head on human body" that was a thing since the very beginning, but I don't dislike it.

I can't believe nearly 30 years later we're STILL playing the same Star Fox game. Mr. Miyamoto, please pick a timeline and stick with it.

This week I learned that frog hotels are a thing... so I made one for the local tree frogs! It's really basic right now and I might add other stuff later. Once it warms up again and we hopefully get some more rain next week we might have some guests. I may make some toad abodes on the ground, too. 🐸

Photo of a frog hotel set up outside at the corner of a house. The build consists of a wide plastic container resembling a wooden wash tub filled to the top with water, and PVC pipes topped with elbow pieces standing up from inside the tub. The pipes are being held in place by river rocks also filling the tub. The tub is placed on a square paver block to provide a flat surface to sit on the ground.

Some frog themed decorations are included with the frog hotel, including a metal frog hanging off the edge of the tub, a small frog laying on a toadstool, and a larger, rotund frog sitting with its hands held together.

Next to the frog hotel, against the corner of the house, is a gutter downspout with a gargoyle fitted on the end, sitting on the splash block.

I felt inspired by the new Mario movie, so I drew Space Furries-- I mean... Star Fox. I always preferred the original designs and the puppets from the SNES era, when they looked a lot more animal-like. I love this franchise so much and want to believe so badly that it's not dead.

I have not watched a lick of Stranger Things, but because I have the Dead by Daylight brainrot, something about this meme gave me a calling to draw ~Henry~. #zeefart

Picture is of Henry Creel from Stranger Things, pre-transformation. Henry is floating slightly above the floor, with a smug expression, legs spread out and pants pockets turned inside out. There are coins flying out from his open hands next to his pockets.

Stranger Things is cool and all, but the one and only thing that has me all excited from the Chapter 2 DLC for DbD is getting to watch the latest trailer purely to see my boy get brutally turned into a pretzel in high definition. I am very normal about Dwight Fairfield.

This past weekend we had two 12yo girls get kidnapped by a predator and they're lucky to still be alive let alone unharmed.

Updated palette for Arthur and another outfit for Maddox! I'm pretty attached to the color green for Arthur and I see Maddox as the kind of person who would drastically change her look a lot.

Image is of two characters: Maddox and Arthur. Maddox is a woman with a rail thin figure and thin facial features. She has short, straight, blond hair, thin eyebrows, green eyes, and overall punk style. Arthur is a man, slightly taller than Maddox, with an average figure and soft features. He has short, curly, brown hair and sideburns, thick eyebrows, light brown eyes, and overall nerdy style.

Far left: Maddox with green hair done up in space buns and bangs, green eyebrows, black lipstick, nose ring, earrings, and bottom lip and eyebrow piercings. She wears a black choker, an open black biker style jacket revealing her midriff and a pink crop top, blue denim short shorts with ragged edges with a black belt, and white sneakers. She wears various bracelets and rings on her hands. She is looking towards the viewer and standing with one leg slightly bent and one arm bent with her hand level to her shoulder.

Mid left: Maddox with blond hair styled in a side cut with pink tips, pink lipstick, eyebrow slits, multiple ear piercings, and a nostril piercing. She wears a coordinated black, red, and light blue outfit with long sleeves and pants, with cutouts exposing her shoulders, elbows, outer thighs, and knees. The top is short and open, exposing her midriff and pink crop top. She is facing slightly left and leaning her hip to one side, with one arm bent and hand resting on said hip.

Mid Right: Arthur is wearing dark red half frame glasses, a green striped bowtie, light green collared work shirt, dark red vest, tan slacks with black belt, dark brown shoes, and a watch on his right hand. He is facing slightly to the right, and his left hand is raised with thumb and index finger on his chin in a thinking pose.

Far right: Arthur from the chest up, same outfit, facing the viewer with crossed arms, closed eyes, and a cheery grin.

A screenshot from Starship, a PC port of the game Star Fox 64. Fox McCloud's space ship is seen in red lighting flying directly over the camera, against a black starry background. In the bottom left corner is Fox's portrait and a text box that reads "OK guys, destroy all barriers." Fox is wearing sunglasses.

A rare glimpse of Blackie doing the elusive half-sploot!

A black cat looks up at the camera while lying on his belly on a yellow linoleum floor. His front paws are tucked under his chest. His back legs lay behind him, with the left fully outstretched and the right bent halfway, and tail draped over the left leg.

(1/2) There's a special kind of delight that comes with playing a game with built-in voice chat and meeting a kid who thinks they can throw the n-word around... because no matter how much you sympathize with the kid initially, that all gets thrown out the window the second they drop the slur.
