Turns out there's a problem on some hitboxes that use the Top bone. I'm working with CanvasK of SmashWiki fame to try and fix as many as I can. Pictured: Incorrect and correct Ivysaur DTilt.

There's an unsurprising tendency across leaders in the tech world (games included) to see art as merely part of something's production line, a box that needs to be ticked before copies can be sold. It's why AI is often justified as something that saves time, or saves money. But with art, that process is the point. The themes and ideas artists draw on, the way they iterate through those ideas with sketches, the work itself is what creates art. There are no shortcuts.

They set up Sylux as this big bad guy you're gonna have to take down, but then the entire game is on a random planet with Sylux not showing up until the very end. It feels like the game focused more on Sylux but then the bulk of it was replaced with the Lamorn plot. Sylux barely has an impact.

Snake FTilt 1 comparison The animation actually changed quite a bit so I had to adjust the hitbox with my eyes only. People over talk about UTilt when it comes to unreasonable hitboxes but I'd argue this was way more egregious. Red - Brawl Black - Ult

@pkbeats.bsky.social's new video had me curious about the Spiny Shell. He are the hitboxes in this order: Idle, pre-explosion, Explosion. Because of the pre-explosion hitbox, the explosion is a 2-hit attack. It's active during the entire up and down animation the shell blows up with.

Ganondorf Wizard's Foot hitbox comparison. In Brawl and Smash 4, the sweetspot was on the leg/body, with a sourspot at the tip. In Ultimate, the sweetspot is at the tip, making it overall better at long ranges despite the... worse placement. Red - Brawl Blue - Smash 4 Black - Ultimate.
