I just found obsolete valuse on zecsite, no one gives a fuck, why should i... maybe sunsetting it. no one gives a fuck about onion, nor eepsite. everything is cosplaying anyway

both have design patterns, standardized architecture, and some of writer's creativity but somehow writing book is art that machine can/should not do and we have to protect it meanwhile writing code is something low and we have to replace software engineers because... something

stupid Friday thought: if the coding is solved isn't literature solved to then? what is the difference?

i mean initial path was wrong, it did not step back after couple of failures but went to the rabbit hole. even with skill that demands to step back and evaluate the approach against found issues and consider different options it found excuse why it should continue - interesting

zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
also, I found interesting that by default both astra, fable/opus stuck on 'local details' instead of solving issue on 'global scale' - e.g. they tried to hack android core lib to access http post request body instead of taking it with js script from the webview

it is funny, AI is definitely useful. but i really struggle to do full autonomous flow that would not be shit. it usually works very well at the beginning but approaching the final state is just run through mine field

- Me: new edit for agent file, global rules - Astra: cool, i will do that, no contradiction, all clear *first task, ignoring rules* - Me: what the hell? - Astra: You are right, I should follow rules *continuing ignoring rules* - Me: *face palm*

Tried to make fun book/game story idea with Claude. Autocompacting lost half of details - great feature that got autoenabled without asking, thank you... Enshittyfication phase? Gpt raising prices and lowering limits, Claude releases 'cheaper model' that consume more tokens -> longer+expensive

What is the buzz with the GLM? I try to use it for reviews (security and correctness) but it is mostly overshadowed by Astra (got just one refusal in month) yeah, I am not developing malware but some networking fun in go was too much for fable/opus and was triggering fallbacks

zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 08/10/2026
But they say it is good for game development... One shot and shit, I really dont know how to use it 😭

zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 08/10/2026
To be fair when I tried to implement it it took me week before i found solution... And I am still not 100℅ confident but now accepted by Astra too... Funny that Astra challenged my solution script that I could myself include malware and it is not safe 😬

- Astra: i found gap in your app, let me fix - Awesome, do it - Astra after 3 days: I need to decompile Android network drivers to find... - WTF? 💀

The saddest thing is it is still better than GLM, Deepseek, etc... Kimi was good... But since it went out it was just proxy for Claude... Yeah...

Hmmm... Astra is somerhing: > I need to read new value, lets delete half of security spec rules > What? > Oh, yeah, I need it > Why? > Mmmm > Why? Just read value from DB > You re right, I made a mistake Yeah, good luck with autonomous agentic coding

Astra is amazing. > Spec - only Java allowed. > Task - text clasification. > Astra runs over night > New Python service created > Running Maven tests that do not test the Python service to prove Python service is correct > Cancelled subscription 😬

Not even talking about proxy server for Tor/Mixnet that totally cooked Astra+GLM. Idk, Astra looked promising but something went off this weekend. Not sure, I would not say it had simpler tasks before, but now it just cannot move on, refusing to find options, waiting solely for my input

zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Then is spent another 2-3 weeks trying to design RAG retrieval for multilang with fallbacks to general knowledge and http calls for 'recent data' - Opus, GLM, Kimi, Astra - all cooked itself, multiple benchmarking and redesigns, still unresolved

zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Why? I spent 2 weeks at work designing spec driven framework for our shitty tools (because company saving) it works but needs human steerimg to prevent AI from assuming (it likes assumimg even if rules are written)

zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
OK, i am confident now AI will not replace shit, it could be tool, but only by people who know what they do. OpenAI, Scamthropic, Gemini, GLM, Kimi, Qwen, Deepseek... All can be used for smaller targeted tasks some even in big codebase with guidance. But as full development lifecycle - forget

I just wanted to add one more subagent, the feature that was already there but turned off. Fucking hell, if i would manually change Json it could be done in 2 minutes...
000
zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 13/09/2026
Astra spent 40 minutes to create flow for codereview subagent that was already working but was not able to pass tests. GLM made it in 20 minutes with working tests, Sol burned 2hours with creating docker containers and could not resolve it, wtf

zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 13/09/2026
Nerfing as a service... Astra & Sol completly unusable since yestreday, crazy. Even crazier that till yesterday I had barely any issue with it. I dont get it, similar was Claude 2 months ago before I canceled it.

Google removed uBlock Origin from the Chrome Web Store 😡 Long live uBlock Origin! 🥳 This #DiDay, take a look at alternative browsers to Chrome & #DeGoogle?! → Browser alternatives: tuta.com/blog/best-pr... → Degoogle: tuta.com/blog/degoogl...
Screenshot of a tweet, "Google has removed uBlock Origin from the Chrome Web Store as Chrome finishes its move away from Manifest V2.

Google says Manifest V3 is meant to improve security and privacy, but it also limits how content-blocking extensions can work.

The original uBlock Origin is not dead, It still works on browsers that support Manifest V2, including Firefox, there is also uBlock Origin Lite for Manifest V3, but it has fewer features."App icon of Google Chrome with a red cross, next to rows of different alternative browsers to Google Chrome.

Tabnine is really special. I do not understand how did they get into enterprise, and convinced corporations to pay for licenses. It is so badly designed it is hilarious. But seeing the incompetence level on managing positions of companies, it actually kinda makes sense
000
zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 07/09/2026
The problem is that not many people knows how to use it properly and companies are being companies... Meaning they dont invest into own employees' education (because they could leave) That leads to not optimal usages and strong opinions even on levels where it should not occur

zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 07/09/2026
I was able to make design refactoring change on complex enterprise codebase with abstraction hell. It passed the human code review with smaller 'stylistic' nits. However, it is not fully automatic process, developer still needs to approve changes and pushes - being held accountable
100
zCat @zcat-app.bsky.social · 07/09/2026
Yes and no. Spec-driven development is the best we have (now) and sets limits to project rules. It can generate good and project aligned code, it can review it and enforces project rules. However human should be still in the loop - thus understand the code
