If you’re wondering how the #rockets season is going, this clip of Tari Eason and Amen Thompson encapsulates it all in this one possession

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

It’s over Jalen FC, we might just have to take the L and keep it pushing

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

It’s weird cause you need like the right mix of vets, like I think the vets are in the way no doubt but at the same time we wouldn’t be where we are without them

This is something I posted about on the old place. Jalen Green's poor shooting this season is 100% due to the mid-range. Last night was another example. Here are his shooting stats by zone: At the rim: 6/10 3P range: 3/8 Mid-range: 0/6 #Rockets #NBASky

Shot chart from nba.com for Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets in a game against the Milwaukee Bucks on November 18, 2024. It shows that he made 6 out of 10 shots in the restricted area, 3 out of 8 three-point shots, and missed all six shot attempts in the mid-range.

The #Rockets played elite defense against Giannis last night. He scored 20 pts, his lowest while playing 35+ mins in a game for 3 years. He had only 4 assists and 8(!) turnovers. Check the video highlights. They walled him off, were physical and straight up stole his lunch money youtu.be/RCRAcLzjt9Q

Liked the out of bounds play from Ime here, but I think I would have went with Amen there as the inbounder instead of Fred (smallest guy on the court). A more athletic big definitely would have caught that pass though

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Insecurity is definitely a factor in that

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 18/11/2024

THIS is #rockets basketball! Sengun DHO to Jalen Green at the of the key into a JG floater. This should be the staple of the Houston Rockets offense

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 18/11/2024

This Bulls defense is absolutely horrid

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 18/11/2024

Amen Thompson in the open floor is must watch hoops

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 18/11/2024

Sengun/Jalen/Dillon all off to good starts but we gotta start defending and making these free throws if we wanna win this game

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

Tari Eason’s first possession last game vs the Los Angeles Clippers Immediate defensive impact lol #Rockets

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

I knew Houston would be a top defensive team, but top 3 was not on my bingo card at all. The re-addition of Tari and the continued growth of Amen has really been the deciding factor in our 9-4 start #Rockets

It’s disgusting how normalized and celebrated anti-intellectualism has become, people used to be proud of gaining knowledge and being regarded as smart

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

Better than under armor lol

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

Rockets twitter is so divisive man. Instead of people being happy that we’re currently the 3rd seed in the west, they’d rather focus on who’s playing bad that game and harassing anybody that supports said player. Really might have to make the full time switch over to this site

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

He’s an adidas athlete man idk why he with under armor

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

Desperately need him in Houston man, we’re missing an all star caliber piece

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

James Harden warped our brains as rockets fans. We expect our best guys to put up 30/8/8 every single game, and expect one of our guys to be in MVP contention. That would obviously be nice, but this is prob one of the most balanced teams in the league. Any of our guys can go off on any night

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

Jalen Green is making my basketball knowledge look questionable man

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

This in season tourney court nice as hell

It’ll take me a while to rebuild the platform I had on twitter, but bluesky, just based on the one day I’ve been on here, is already infinitely better as a social platform

000

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

I think he’s been solid all season imo, just gotta make his wide open shots and some of these inefficient games will disappear. All metrics point to us being a better team with him on the court

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

lol thinking about it

000

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Bluesky is so refreshing man. Hoping we can rebuild what actual basketball discussions used to be before nba twitter was ever a thing

000

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

I can see that, we aren’t really using Jeff Green like that and you can make and argument that although Dillon has been great for us, he really may just be in the way of Amen/Tari. Everything is 20/20 in hindsight though

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Exactly man. A person can dream though

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

As Harden looks to surpass Ray Allen for 2nd all time in 3 pointers made, I’ll forever stand on this, but the Rockets/Ime made a huge mistake signing Fred VanVleet over James Harden #rockets

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Eh I can see that but a lot of it has to do with his handle still being bad

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

I need to see more from amen offensively from an aggression stand point before I can claim him a 1A player, but he for sure has the potential. Tari is def a keeper lol I’m open to recouping assets from Sengun but time will tell if we do that. I don’t think Ime is a big fan of him lol

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Yea I agree with all of that. I’m a huge Amen fan but I don’t see 1A type player and neither is Tari, they’re great connectors. Alpi/Jalen are our only chances at atleast a 1B/2 type. I’d trade Sengun too but he’s so unique, like who would we even trade him for?

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

We can finally have a real conversation Lmaoo I think he is too but if the rockets want to be successful they gotta learn to play together

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Jalen I need you to lock in today bro I can’t keep defending you on twitter like this 😭😭 #rockets

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

It’s still a lot of time left in the season brother. I still got yall finishing top 4 and WCF berth. Let the team get some more chemistry, yall had a few moving parts this summer

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

So refreshing seeing actual real science on the timeline again lol

000

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Hmm ima have to start using the rockets hashtag then so people can find me lol

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Being on the starter pack is pretty dope lol

000

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Me too, that’s ultimately the goal lol the racism and misinformation gets tiring

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Yea I think as people realize this place is so much nicer and migrate over, the rockets posts will definitely pick up. I’m trying to jump on it while it’s young lol

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Hoping the dummies don’t find their way to bluesky

Me, leading people from the other place to #Bluesky! Welcome, newbies! I'm a medical historian who likes to remind people the past was pretty awful. If you ever wondered what would happen if you needed a leg amputated in 1832, or if you had a toothache in 1765 - look no further.

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

I know Rockets fans want Tari to start extremely bad right now, but until we can find a bench player that’s just as dynamic as he is to replace him, I think it would hurt us at the moment. Let’s keep the advantage of having the best bench in the league for a little while longer

Zay @zay169.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Really need the Houston Rockets starters to have an efficient night today in our first In-Season Tourney game. I’m sure Ty Lue will have some counters planned against us from last game

When sengun doesn’t think about the jumper and just lets it go, it actually looks really good

Gotta jump on this Houston rockets content on here early lol

Most distant object known to humanity. Found by JWST, JADES-GS-z14-0 is the most distant galaxy ever discovered. It's located 13.6 billion light years from us, and since it takes time for light to travel, we see it as it was only 290 million years after the Big Bang. 🔭 🧪

$A field of thousands of small galaxies of various shapes and colors on the black background of space. A bright, foreground star with diffraction spikes is at lower left. Near the image center, a tiny white box outlines a region and two diagonal lines lead to a box in the upper right. Within the box is a banana-shaped blob that is blueish-red in one half and distinctly red in the other half. An arrow points to the redder portion and is labeled “JADES GS z 14 – 0”.$
