Absolutely wild that LinkedIn has built-in spam bots. Incredible. I don't want to use your service already, why make it even worse?

Oh my god, Levelord was an absolute legend. I idolized him and his incredible work when I was a high school student in the late 90's toying around with making Doom and Quake levels. He will be missed.

Poly Fighter launches into Early Access tomorrow! A year and a half ago this was just an idea. Now we're about to put it into players' hands, and honestly, the support we've received leading up to launch has been overwhelming. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYkb... store.steampowered.com/app/3977340/...

That last line is sending me holy shit My previous place of employment literally stopped paying for the power and we had to keep generators running because nobody knew what was going on for two months. We eventually got an email that they laid off everybody (on my birthday, nonetheless!)

One of those crawled into my ear when I was sleeping once and I woke up, screamed, and couldn't get it out for like two hours. Scars you, unsurprisingly.

Nah, no worries. I have the expansion, too. Any other titles you'd recommend? Black & White 1 is here, too, but I didn't realize the spines don't say anything

Matt Allbright 🌵 @zavaro.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

It looks like it's just AvP 1, but called "Classic 2000" which I nabbed a while back. I still can't believe this Monolith erasure. What a fantastic catalogue that you just can't get half of anywhere.

I cannot for the life of me find my Battletech games, though? Mechwarrior and Mechcommander were somewhere

Also Quake Wars was wayyyy cooler than the industry understood. One of the most fun shooters I ever played.

Found my PC collection of "Stuff Not Digitally Available*" *This may have changed. BfME2, Wolfenstein, Quake Wars, and Movies were all digitally available at some point, the former on Origin, the rest on Steam.

A bunch of old jewel cases including Black and White and Battle for Middle Earth.

Pretty sure we did the first two with NS2. Damage and reaction were instantaneous, but the longest distances were fairly short. Players didn't render for each other at like 50m or something

Matt Allbright 🌵 @zavaro.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Obviously not a poorly reviewed or even considered "hidden gem," it just got absolutely overshadowed by like every first-party 3D platformer on the system.

000

Matt Allbright 🌵 @zavaro.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

For me, Rayman 2 was a seminal platformer and did some crazy awesome shit that I have rarely seen since. It was my game of choice as an adolescent, I rented that like ten, maybe more times.

Matt Allbright 🌵 @zavaro.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Again, I'm not a doctor, but it's not super uncommon, especially where we're at. And it's been like REALLY windy.

000

Matt Allbright 🌵 @zavaro.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I think I'm overcoming VF right now, myself. I don't have a fever, but I did last week, now it's all fatigue, a cough for the last several days and generally achey-ness.

200

Matt Allbright 🌵 @zavaro.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I had the same thing many times. What you're experiencing could be a "mild" case of it, not sure. I'm keen on it being so given the amount of rain bringing out more of the fungus, but more importantly, the amount of wind we've been getting.

Matt Allbright 🌵 @zavaro.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Valley fever? It sounds a lot like that and it sucks.

Matt Allbright 🌵 @zavaro.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Yeah, this guy blows. I remember we had a whole week long thing about "what the fuck is with this guy" in one of my archeo classes. Total piece of garbage.

000

Matt Allbright 🌵 @zavaro.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Yeah, definitely not my favorite. It's really bad on my TV because everything is blown up so just the tabs take up 10% of the screen due to all the extra space

Doubtful. They've done some stuff before and always backed off after the news "calmed down." So many people have killed or been sexually assaulted at these places. FIJI being a big one. It's a horrible thing, and was the entire time I was there, in school or working on campus.

My purpose for getting a collection together was to provide for the community of friends I have. There's not a lot of places to rent games anymore, especially older titles, but I wanted to say, "hey, buddy, I've got a copy of that, borrow it for as long as you like."
