I've released an all-in-one tool that lets you extract textures from any perspective, turn them into seamless textures, and use them on your 3D models. #gamedev #indiedev #gamedevtools #itchio #indiegame

its safer to have a friend help, the slower you go the softer the insides get. just don't wait too long to pull the tim tam out or it'll be too soggy and fall apart. which can make a big mess!

Finally got around to making a version of Music for Fish for @kulzae.bsky.social's sound egg world. I even ran all the songs through a cruddy record phono ampiflier before so it sounds like a vinyl record.

I know I'm in a bit biased position here, but this is disturbing to me on personal level. Virtual platforms are homes to many people. They are a home to me too. To me, this is akin to having the government put CCTV cameras inside your private home to monitor your at all times. It's not the way.

I stopped using VR in VRC when they started collecting movement data without mentioning why it's used beyond FBT, at least face tracking has its own section in the policy, but movement data is fingerprintable and you can't easily change how you naturally move. I'm not comfortable with the ambiguity

Something like this would be attractive to users for quick, temporary hosting for impulsive extended sessions & events. There are challenges and risks, If it can scale nicely based on demand and pull in a net positive, it might be worth it down the road!

I imagine an additional, automatically managed rental service could work. But I wouldn't want @resonite.com to spin it up without earning some extra margin for a service that mainly provides convenience to me.

In optimal conditions 1h can work. However DJs will optimize their sets which brings to light more casualties. Like that buzzkill moment in a track you recognise, you're looking forward to a section and suddenly the DJ cuts to a different track before you can unravel in it.

010

Zaravi @zaravi.dog · 04/02/2026

True! I feel that 90 mins should be the default schedule. There's often cultural & situational nuances that don't help with the crammedness. Like ruined immersion because the crew wants a smoko. Leading to DJs shipping constant bangers for when you return to the room.

The Evil Library. 🦉 📚 💀 ✨ 👻

Created in March 2017 for an unannounced game.

The spooky piano room with lots of books full of magic spells. A fireplace with a cozy armchair with pictures of ghostly landscapes on the wall. Candles and colorful lamps create a mysterious atmosphere.

Magic potions in various glass carafes and staffs were put in bookshelves. A treasure map and amulets show big plans. A desk with candles, quill, ink and a notebook show that someone is working hard on new enigmatic inventions.

We can see thunder outside the window. This is where magic, technology and chemistry are combined into a machine. Cables and parts are leading in various directions.

If you look at the last picture of this post with the library overview, you can also see an area where experiments are conducted, e.g. a spider will be transformed into a new creature.

https://www.deviantart.com/sylviaritter/art/Evil-Library-Concept-Art-672550674

The full library can be seen here. Next to the previous mentioned piano, poisons and machine room, we can see the main library with thousands of books protected by a wise owl "Boo hoo boo hoo!" and intricate skull decor.

Another part of the artwork shows the mirror room. Even the mirrors seem alive and love to spook around. Watch out! :) Taxidermied animals with glowing eyes can be found on the right side (lion, eagle, bear, rhino, hippo, warthog, bull, tiger). In a glass vitrine, precious animal skulls and bones are preserved.

In the upper right corner is a haunted dusty attic with spider webs, rusty tools and weapons ,a loom, old cloth, a still functioning gramophone, a forgotten coffin. Windows show the outside area with dead looking trees and a rather dark atmosphere.

..and then there is the ghostly maintenance staff room. Full of cleaning products, brooms, shovels, a warning sign for clean wet floors illuminated by a colder halogen light.
