I keep seeing this on YouTube, so is the Cosmic DE the future of Linux? No. KDE and GNOME are way further ahead and offer way more as DEs. Does it have a future with Linux? Yes, every DE technically has a future, look at Budgie. My last comment is it looks so clunky; maybe with a lot more polish.

I'm on a couple days with the Z Fold 8, and with the form factor I've never needed more or less phone; it's just been perfect. The camera systems even without the third lens have taken stunning photos I'm pretty impressed with, speaker is great, connectivity and phone calls have all been great.

Watching PC manufacturers start pushing older graphics cards as Valve has worked with gamemakers to start optimizing games for 'lower end/cost hardware' is beautiful. Nvidia pushing the 3060 again is ironic where reviewers said the Steam Machine is 'underpowered' with equivalent performance. #Gaming

Okay as much as I love my Pixel, I think the Z Fold 8 is beautiful, light, sleek, and I want one...

I swapped from Pixel to OneUI, here are some things I missed: -Extended Dark Mode -Clear Calling -Notification/Quick Settings Tray -No duplicate apps -Better weather app -Chat Themes Things I appreciated: -Better OTP notification auto fill -Faster auto connection -Calling cards -Samsung Notes

Lately, an institution I've been working with has been allowing me to attend a lot of online webinars as a way of training development, and the amount of people playing with AI for an hour and making crazy amounts of money is insane.

I actually have a terrible addiction to the Civ games... I'm part way through a playthrough, and all I want to do is leave work to spend the next 6 hours finishing my game.

Anyone else notice that the recent SteamOS updates make the Steam Deck LCD noticeably faster?

000

Kyle J H S 🏳️‍🌈 @zanbarra.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

Okay, so with SteamOS rolling out to the masses, nobody making physical media anymore, and console prices soaring to all time highs, and mass studio layoffs; are people finally going to start moving to PC as a platform for long term upgradability, more storefront options, and variety?

I don't know if I would say it was better than the original; but the messaging was good, and I missed the Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Stanley Tucci combo. Highly recommend because Hollywood has been slow in releasing solid movies.

Honestly, Meta removing its services from New Mexico cannot be anything other than a net positive for humanity. Who knows what innovation will come through if social media is held liable and had repercussions for refusing to protect vulnerable users... It's giving EU consumer protections.

Video games are on the weirdest timeline right now. I think affordable consoles and games with the current cost of living increases will make a successful studio/company. Nintendo is paving their own way, Sony is losing momentum with lack of first party releases, Xbox is working on affordability/QC.

I really enjoyed years playing Xbox, but the price hikes have left it untenable as a platform for Game Pass. The new leadership appointments have left a lot of the platform up in the air as effective changes have not happened.
