i was working off the theory that arkanoid is a puzzle game (real), but since arkanoid is just space invaders, that means arkanoid is also a shmup. but since touhou is both an arkanoid AND a shmup that means that phantasmagoria of flower view is also a puzzle game. RIGHT??

Rhythm Heaven Groove (rhythm game... no not that kind) Frustrated that this game continues the trend of using hideously undercharted baby mode tracks÷, and I think this game has the weakest soundtrack since RH Gold÷. Beatspell is REALLY good though+, and I appreciate the experimentation with TTS×.

Without new time (4 day work week), it’s a brutal red ocean game companies cannot hope to win in, given that the platforms own the attention algorithms.

I'm really glad PPT2 Puyo Only got to 26 entrants btw. one of the reasons we tend to favor Mixed VS is because of a fear that Puyo and Tetris can't stand on their own in terms of saturating a 32-player bracket. also, I think this conclusively puts to bed the notion that we should ever run Champions
