For the first time got some prints of my digital art (and of some watercolor/acryl drawings) Not sure if I can hit up small conventions regularly or if I can go for some online solution long-time ... but for now it just feels a little bit more ✨ real ✨

4 pictures lying on a table. In clock-wise order from the top left:
1) Entei, a fire Pokemon, where you only see its stern face.
2) A detailed drawing showing Yoshi and Lip and other characters from the old games "Tetris Attack" and "Panel de Pon"
3) Nidoran, a small purple Pokemon, looking at a Lilly pad on a small pond.
4) Two Koroks (which are small spirits made of wood and leafs) from Legend of Zelda, on the left is Makar.

Acryl painting of a little pond with a Lily pad. In the gras is a curious little fantastical animal, the Pokemon Nidoran-male.

These years I only get a few "big" games now and then, and mostly play smaller indie games. The #Switch2 didn't speak to me, mostly with the higher game prices and the key-cards. But just looking at releases like #Metroid: Why would I *willingly* pay for a new machine AND MUCH higher prices?

Screenshot of the Nintendo Switch game "Metroid Prime 4" on Amazon. With 70€ for the switch 2, and 52€ for the regular Switch version.

Might actually need to upgrade my PC. The newest animation goes for about 4 minutes - and if I wanted to render it in 1080p it would've taken about *4-8 hours* of render time. 720p was done in 1 hour. Even moving along the timeline in edit mode took a few seconds before being able to do anything.

I spotted this on Mastodon and I find it horrible, not least for the speed with which this has happened.

A post on Mastodon by small cypress (@small_cypress@indieweb.social):

As an art teacher I was worried AI would come up as an issue of "why should I learn how to draw when I can use AI instead."

But the real issue is that my middle schoolers CONSTANTLY believe all art I show them is AI. Digital art. Photography. Oil paintings from the Western canon. "A human couldn't do that"

Being convinced that humans can't make great art is kind of terrifying

Happy 30th Anniversary for Panel de Pon ✨ (27th October 1995) #paneldepon #パネルでポン I only knew the #tetrisattack version in my childhood, but later played the original. It was my favorite game from the times staying with my grandparents. Anyway, have the crossover drawing I made earlier this year 🌈

If everything works out, I'll have a new instrumental/animation ready at the end of next week 💀

The view is a POV shot when going into the entrance hall of a small mansion. It's extremely dark, with some stairs leading up the second floor. On the top half is a large entrance door. There is no visible door and only darkness inside.

A drawing I made for a friend of mine who likes Kasane Teto and ducks a lot :3 #Utauloid #Utau #Teto #KasaneTeto

It took me a month, but I'm happy to finally present this crossover of #Yoshi and #Lip from #tetrisattack and #paneldepon for the SNES (1995) I always loved playing these games and the music will stick with me forever ✨ #PortfolioDay #fanart #digitalart #art #artsky #videogameart #snes

In the center is Yoshi, running on a rainbow, with the fairy girl Lip riding on his back. The background is a landscape with a shore and some mountains. Distributed across the screen are several characters from their games, namely a pinguin, a dog, a yellow yoshi sitting on a bird, a fairy shooting fireballs at a phoenix, and the fairy mother. They all used colored blocks from the puzzle game Tetris Attack.

Below the rainbow are two gloomy giant characters standing in a chasm looking upwards at the heros, namely Bowser and Sanatos.

W.I.P. Sketches for the backound of the Yoshi/Lip illustration I'm working on

There a several sketches of characters on the page, with two larger ones in the middle. One is Bowser from Super Mario (A standing turtoise with horns). The other is Sanatos from Panel de Pon, a tall demon with massive horns and a cape.
There are smaller sketches of a yoshi on a bird, a pinguin, a dog, a phoenix, a girl firing fireballs and a fairy queen.

Work in Progress for an upcoming drawing. (A crossover of Tetris Attack and Panel de Pon) After it I'll return to music & videos.

Yoshi from the Mario series runs across a rainbow smiling at the viewer. On him rides Lip, a child-sized fairy from the Japanese game Panel de Pon, waving with a long flower. The background shows vague pencil sketches of characters from either series, including Bowser and a Mermaid.

I tried looking up some kanji (japanese), in this case the character for "marriage" - and I got some mixed messages 😅

Kanji are Chinese characters and used in the writing of Japanese. The kanji for "marriage" is made up from several smaller smaller symbols. In this case are the following highlighted: thread, good luck, woman, family name and day.

The image shows a simple drawing of a wedding pair giving their vows, connected by a red thread forming a heart.
The caption reads: A joyful day on which a woman forms
a thread to a new family.

The kanji for "marriage" again, but in this case the symbols are highlighted in a different way, forming either the same or other meanings. These are: thread, woman, samurai, mouth and dark or evening.

The image shows a gloomy sky with a furious woman at the front. In one hand she holds a sword, in the other she grabs the tie of her terrified husband.
The caption reads: At dusk a samurai lady with a gaping mouth ties a man to herself.

"Ashe's Mega entrance" I love the #MegamanZero / #MegamanZX series in general, and Ashe's introduction just looked so fun and stunning 😎 (... and leg-breaking 😅) #fanart #digitalart #ロックマン #megamanzxadvent #Ashe

Ashe is a Japanese teenage girl in a sci-fi setting. She has a very long ponytail and just landed on a flying aircraft, with the sky and some clouds in the background. Also further enemy ships are in the backgrounds. She landed on her legs, which are bent, and carries a laser pistol in her right hand. She features a determined but entertained expression.

Finally saw "Sing a Bit of Harmony" recently. It was a fun musical! But primarily I needed to see the context of the judo scene that's been living in my head rent-free for quite a while. ... I also wanted to draw the little robots 😊 #fanart #digitalart #chibi #anime #SingaBitofHarmony #アイの歌声を聴かせて

A chibi version of Shion (the main character of the movie) extends her arms and sings, with notes flying in the air. Next to her are two robots listing with happy expressions. They have the size of larger trash cans, and are cylinders with black half-spheres. On the dark surface you can see their expressions in the form of glowing emoticons.
