Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of Jaws 🩸🦈I made a list to score, with 13 levels of stereotypes about sharks, I hope it is useful for those who want to create works beyond the fear ingrained by Jaws and seek new creative representations of sharks. #shark #jaws #jaws50thanniversary #jaws50

After noticing patterns over the years, I created this list with 13 points to score the level of stereotypes about sharks present in a work. I believe that most of these stereotypes have their main origin in the film Jaws (1975).

With the scarcity of works that explore other creative approaches to sharks, beyond the “man-eating ” narrative, Jaws ended up consolidating itself as the greatest source of inspiration and creative reference for many productions to this day. This was called “The Jaws Effect”.

I've noticed that certain patterns in the creative world repeat themselves to the point of being tedious, which bothers me. Not because they're bad, but because in many cases they're harmful. With these points, I hope to show sharks in a new light.

They need to add hero limits to Disco Elysium. I’m sick of queueing up and being the only Kim on a team of five Harrys

I thought I'd do a little animation test of my sharkfolk ocs! Roberto's favorite hobby is cooking for his friends! He's very talented at preparing many dishes, but he's very afraid of hot oil and feels very embarrassed about it hehe 🍳🦈 #art #sharks #sharkfolk

Quick heads up I may be just lurking here more often than not. Barely used twitter for a decent amount even before recent troubles just out of habit. Still hope to poke my head into here from time to time though.
