iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Zagpi @zagpi.com · 06/07/2026

So it's been a while! I have been doing some art, but nothing substantial except for this: I painted this for an LGBT conference on identity.

The subject of my painting is the gradual detachment of my identity from where I lived with Coventry depicted on the left, and my increasing identity with where I am from, Malta. Above is the tumultuous waters of the Mediterranean during the storm that struck Malta at the beginning of the year, depicting a rough journey in contrast with the smooth clear skies at the bottom representing my growing career in aviation. In the centre is me, holding a reminder that I'm a foreigner everywhere, juggling my various passports, name change documents, visas, etc. I no longer feel safe or comfortable in public in the UK, and with every passing day I feel more distant from britishness.
