“Good show, everyone!” Alastor called to the room at large as he swept his script off the desk and headed for the door. “Best get to rehearsing the next one, don’t you think?” He didn’t even look back, waving with one hand over his shoulder before letting himself out of the room.

Anthony raised an eyebrow, looking from the closing door to Charlie. She shrugged. “He’s… always like that, more or less.”

“He’s mad,” Hollis corrected as he came over, cracking open a bottle of water.

“Yeah?” Anthony asked curiously. “He didn’t seem mad.”

“Yeah, well, he wanted you to fuck up and you didn’t.” Hollis shrugged, but he had a smile on his face that reminded Anthony of a contented cat. “He was mad dogging you the whole time you were performing.”

Anthony snorted. “Really?”

Maggie, who must have left the control room and entered the studio without him noticing, came up to them and offered out copies of scripts. “Really,” she agreed. “You impressed him, and he hates being impressed when he wasn’t expecting it.”

“…what is he, seven?”

“It would explain a lot,” Maggie said.

I've been doing pixel art practice with some Hazbin screenshot redraws, and it's helping me get a lot faster, so 10/10 would recommend Part 1/2 (for now) with Alastor, Angel Dust, and Charlie

Little preview of my next #radiodust fic, a human AU in the style of romance manga plots (Hollis = Husk, Noriko = Niffty) Figured two snippets of the boys talking about each other before they’ve even met was an acceptable tease 👀

A fanfic snippet that reads as follows: Anthony stepped further into the room. “Okay, so tell me about this boss of yours. Like, whaddya mean, he’s a nightmare?”

The other three exchanged extremely not-subtle glances. “...well…” Maggie began. “He’s a tyrant. He’s loud, aggressive, and callous, but he’s always smiling and laughing, and that throws people off.”

“He gets in everybody’s personal space whenever he wants, but he gets real mad if you do it to him,” Charlie added.

“If you call in sick, he’ll laugh at you,” Hollis said. “On the air, probably. He doesn’t grant time off requests and he expects you to keep hours he won’t himself.”

“I also think he might have killed someone,” Charlie said, so conversationally that Anthony had to do a double-take to make sure he’d heard her. She seemed to realize what she’d said and held her hands up. “I’m kidding!”

“Are you?” Anthony asked, one eyebrow raising.

“Uh… kinda?” She cleared her throat. “So, um, what can we do for you?”

A fanfic snippet that reads as follows: Might as well cut to the chase. Charlie drew a deep breath, then exhaled. “We offered him the job and he accepted it.”

There was a… look that Alastor got on his face whenever he was caught off-guard. It was like he constantly had a record playing in his head, and it had suddenly skipped, or stuttered, or completely ground to a halt. “...Charlie, dear one,” he began in an overly patient voice, holding up his hand once more when she moved to speak. “What have we discussed?”

“You’re the boss here,” Charlie said.

“And?”

“And I’m an employee?” she added, twisting her index fingers together and giving Alastor her best smile.

“Precisely.” He waved his hand dismissively, heading straight for the door. “You will simply have to contact him and rescind the offer until such a time as I can speak with him.”

“You never have time to speak to applicants,” Maggie complained.

“I mean, that’s not really true,” Noriko sing-songed, picking up Alastor’s business schedule in her thumb and forefinger and dangling it in the air.

Alastor stopped, giving Noriko a look. “Well. Simply because I’m not always swamped with official business doesn’t mean that I am not busy, now does it?”
