@joeroe yea, and I suppose the fact that journals are indexed was also useful when searching for similar work

Is it feasible to just stick my protocol and other supporting documents on zenodo / knowledge commons and call it a day? What's the added value of having the protocol peer-reviewed? What does registration do that a preprint does not cover?

I'm doing a PRISMA-ScR / JBI compliant scoping review and I'm considering registering my protocol. Can anyone here suggest some venues for this sort of thing? Some things to consider: - I am not a fan of OSF and I would rather not use their platform, if possible - PROSPERO does not accept […]

@felwert Yea, I hope it's the former! I also think it may be a shifting focus on different kinds of texts, which may be fad-ish? But this is just my spidey sense, not grounded on anything real

@felwert I think it really depends on what you're trying to achieve and whatever other forms of analysis and interpretation the study relies on in tandem

@felwert LDA seems to take language at face value, whereas BERTopic seems better for handling hierarchically-organized and context-laden semantic structures that resemble what one might experience when doing qualitative coding. BERTopic is also better for shorter text, snippets, etc, which is […]
