you should have seen me a couple of years ago! [ #Art #FurryArt ]

A drawing of a crying blue dog running across blue-green hills, with a red collar on. There's a fence and some bushes in the foreground, and a red sun in the yellow-green sky behind it. There's a thought bubble above the dog's head that says, "at least i'm not as sad as i used to be", which is a lyric from and the title of a song by the band fun.

I wanna be a little cute or more feminine, to experiment with how much I can push it, but I still struggle so hard to sort through with my issues that I never "let" myself have that fun iykwim? Combined with being stuck with family and you got a really tired Aster

100

☀️Solar_Flare☀️ (🔞) @z0larflar3.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

A lot of my old sketches of Aster in relation to my expression has been related to my frustration at having a body so mismatched and a little 'wrong', and while now I know that those views were built from bullying and unrealistic as hell expectations, I still feel that upset feeling all the time

100

☀️Solar_Flare☀️ (🔞) @z0larflar3.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Aster can shift their shape but I made them more like me which means they are more feminine if anything. Same for Ira since they are just me but for indulging brain fantasies lol

100

☀️Solar_Flare☀️ (🔞) @z0larflar3.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

While I've been brewing up ideas for Minx, I've started to connect with them a little because I struggle with a bit of body dysmorphia and constant rumination on my gender and expression of such, and having a character who does so freely makes me feel nice yknow

100

☀️Solar_Flare☀️ (🔞) @z0larflar3.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Minx is a trickster but not a monster, and if anyone she messes with is clearly not taking it well, she will stop everything and leave them be. As already implied Minx uses any pronouns and is gender-apathetic.

100

☀️Solar_Flare☀️ (🔞) @z0larflar3.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Aster despises Minx, but they are frenemies more so than adversaries. Minx is the few who can see them for who they are and won't be erased by it. And Aster has been alone for so long, that they cling to it even when they hate themself all the more for it.

100

☀️Solar_Flare☀️ (🔞) @z0larflar3.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Just like Aster, he is a higher being but not a god of any sort. A reality manipulator sure, but still a creature rather than anything divine. They are some of the few who see past Aster's mirage and they love pestering Aster whenever they cross paths

100

☀️Solar_Flare☀️ (🔞) @z0larflar3.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

So the other character is called Minx N' Mash and I made her in my brain after neglecting my sleep so terribly I hallucinated finishing my college homework heh Some fun facts, they are a Mink weasel -sort of- as they experiment with different body parts so much they're closer to a chimera

CSP being pressed to take even just /kissing/ off their asset store and FA being told that plus sized characters are considered adult should be a giant waving red flag to folks. Sex workers have /always/ been right to say these policies never stop with 1 type of content. They always wanna ban more.

Ira is going to be a less lore heavy sona like Aster since I want to make spicy stuff with a character that would actually be susceptible to the usual 'for the plot' stuff heh

It feels like loser behavior to beg but I spend so much on college payments and other life stuff that its hard to keep up. I live with my family and its still hard to do much for savings since it gets used up fast <:[

The issue is that the bus takes over an hour to get to classes and I still have to walk 2 miles to the stop and riding my bike is hell since the ride is entirely uphill. So I want to get an e-tricycle to get to and fro. I got 200+ but I need about 600 to buy it.

100

☀️Solar_Flare☀️ (🔞) @z0larflar3.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

So last weekend a clothing rack fell on me, and while I didn't break anything it's become a lot harder to walk/stand/run etc, and my ride who would take me to college has dropped leaving me to take the bus or ride my bike.
