Small bursts (30 minutes) of consistent art study is more effective and sustainable than grinding for hours. You'll remember more, have time to process the information before you next use it, and won't feel like you just punished yourself creatively.

here to share some happy colors ✨🌿💜

A photo of a sketchbook open on a wooden desk, surrounded by paint supplies. The page displays a gouache painting of a nature scene with trees, bushes, foliage and lots of colorful flowers. White and yellow flowers can be seen in the midground and the foreground has tall pink and purple flowers.

It's 2025! And here is my friendly reminder to BACK UP YOUR DATA NOW 👏✨ - use an external HDD, SSD, thumb drive, USB-Stick, SD card - or a cloud service I prefer using an ext. HDD, because I have full control of it and immediate access. HDD because it's has more affordarble with more storage

Fragmented, yet flawless

Portrait illo of a woman holding her hand up to her chest. She has yellow tinted glasses, smiling with a deeply sincere gaze on the viewer. She is wearing a sheer turtleneck, black tank top, black pearl necklace and gold hoops. Her hair is a framing Afro. She is broken up from eyes to corners with gold slivers with bits of stardust in the darkest areas. Drawn by gdbee art in 2024 with paint tool sai

Honest question to all artists, who struggle with color theory: What is the most confusing part about color theory or your biggest hurdle when trying to learn it? 🎨 I'm planning to create a series of short, easy to digest tutorials about color theory and would like to know the pain points first ✨

Here is a light of hope: Public Diffusion is the first large-scale attempt, that is currently trained only on Public Domain images. This solves the built on stolen art issue and is a step towards more ethical AI across all types of media, showing that it's possible x.com/JordanCMeyer...

That's ok. I have a different opinion.

000

YVZ STUDIOS 🎨 @yvzstudios.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

I'm ofc talking about generative fill. I forgot the right term because I don't have it anymore. But wow I didn't knew about that article. That was the nail in the coffin for firefly. But tbh, I don't care that much on what generative fill was trained on bc it has a different purpose and use.

100

YVZ STUDIOS 🎨 @yvzstudios.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

Where they actually did a loss is Firefly. That's the real mismatch. A genAI tool marketed to pro designers & artists, who don't rely on genAI is the issue. It's the wrong target audience. Nobody uses Firefly, even tho it's the most ethically trained AI model; until Public Diffusion is released ofc

000

YVZ STUDIOS 🎨 @yvzstudios.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

I like bashing Adobe for it's greedy tactics like everyone else, but some ppl being 100% anti AI are being overdramatic. I think Ps AI content aware fill is the best and most user friendly outpainting solution rn. And Camera Raw has the best RAW noise reduction. If you don't need that, use smth else

A digital painting of my original character playing the violin while standing in a field of purple flowers. Melancholic atmosphere, reminiscing a sad and dark past. His arms show a glimpse of the cosmos.

A digital painting of my oc standing in knee hight water, with his palms towards the viewer. A liquid is dripping from his arms. Based on the red color scheme of the overall piece that can be interpreted in any way. A bright moon illuminates him from behind.

Digital painting of my original character standing in a field of white lillies. She wears a cosmic star-like black dress, transparent towards the bottom. A golden luminescent lily comes out of her chest.

Digital painting of an oc with white curly hair and bright luminescent eyes, facing the viewer directly. He stands in a doorway leading to a snowy environment, seemingly an abandoned city. He takes off a glowing ring as if wanting to give to the person he's looking at.
