Some people back in the day would obviously say it just to say it because the sheep culture is unbelievably strong in those places (see the dex/magic discourse that remains alive in current year) but a lot of the time it also had to do with the GFWL-like dogshit netcodes top up to like DS3 at least

My main issue w shit like that is that I know for a fact "taking a stand" by boycotting-but-not-actually only solidifies that people are too soft to really be willing to lose some comfort to have their voices be heard. They make money off of active userbase, if you wanna hit it where it hurts, dip!

Definitely not ALL but a good bit of my current friends got both running specifically for me, it really isn't that much of a pesky annoyance to have 2 apps on if it means keeping contact with someone you like, if anything its almost selfish not to give it a shot I'd say!

Does not work, heaps of plug-in devs make a point not to do the age-ID thing so the base clients don't get any action taken on them. Alternatively, just walk away! Fucking leave! Worked with MSN messenger, worked with Skype, should work again!
