💜 Yes, as for me, Noah, I think creating a good song is the most important, so I work with the mindset of creating a good song for PLAVE. Our 4th Mini Album Caligo Pt.2 was made with that mindset too, so I'll be happy if many people can listen to it.
💙 And we PLAVE have an important announcement to make! It has been decided that PLAVE will be

holding our first world tour from September. The Japan concerts will be held over 2 days on 26 and 27 September. Please come and have fun!
💗 We are doing lots of preparation so that everyone can have fun on this tour. Though we are nervous as it is our first world tour, we are also very much looking forward to meeting many people. Please take care of us!

💜 Our title song Born Savage contains a message overflowing with confidence that you are born special and destined to survive even from the ashes. Do the members have any special abilities that make you think "I am special!" ?

💙 We're not a group that was formed through audition. Actually we were friends to begin with. Noah and Eunho, who are not here today, were my friends and we talked about forming a team together. And Eunho's friend was Bamby, Noah's friend was Hamin. We gathered a group of really good friends and formed PLAVE together.

Q. So when the 3 of you wanted to form a group, did you go around deliberately looking for people who could dance, or could compose songs?
💗 Ah, it wasn't like that. To look for friends who could sing or dance at the start. It's just that we were friends, who had good personalities, to really call out to friends, that's how we formed our team today.
(Agreeing that it's rare that it just so happens that those friends had skills to compose their own songs, lyrics, and dance)

🖤 Yes, Suisei-san. I'm curious how you felt when you first knew about PLAVE. Your first impression.

Suisei: I believe the first time I knew was from the song Pump Up The Volume. I'm sure that it was because my friend recommended it to me, that there was a really good group. Then she showed it to me and I found you amazing, skillfull too. And I was most happy over the fact that there was a good opinion (of you). That virtual (idol) was popular in Korea too. So I felt strongly that it was a chance for the virtual culture to spread and take root in Korea. So I secretly cheered for you, hoping for you to really continue doing your best.

Q. Was it decided since your formation that you'd do everything by yourselves?
💙 Actually when we formed PLAVE at the start and were determined to do our best, we did receive a few songs and choreography from other people. But at that time the concept of a virtual artist, and the group PLAVE, were still unfamiliar to everyone and they didn't know what to make of our existence, so to be honest we didn't really receive much. That's why we thought of doing it ourselves, since we can do so, and started creating each individual song, accumulating them, released albums, and eventually made enough songs to hold our own concert.

Q. Yejun-san, on top of creating your own songs, is there anything that you are particular about?
💙 As expected, when we write our own music and lyrics, I really know the members' strengths and weaknesses well, so you can say that I want to make clothes perfect for the members. So I pay attention to drawing on each members' strengths and weaknesses when creating songs.

Q. How about the choreography Bamby-san?
💗 Regarding choreography, I always say this but when we do livestreams where we interact with the fans, the things that occur there or things that only the fans would know, are incorporated into the choreography. And when coming up with our own choreography, we also make it a point to create a story that connects with previous ones.

💙 Besides the 2 songs that you just mentioned, other songs also connected in other parts. Though I can't talk about them in detail now, I believe that you will be able to tell when you watch them later.

Q. You debuted in Japan on 16 June last year with "Kakurenbo". How do you feel after 1 year has passed?

Yejun: I feel that time really flies past. I feel that I need to continue showing great performances to PLLIs in Japan.

Noah: Since we started doing activities in Japan, we have also come directly to Japan. I'm happy because it's a place I really like. Being able to see and feel Japan in person was really memorable. And the number of people who love us is growing through our direct interactions with PLLIs, I feel grateful for that everyday. The PLLIs in Japan tell us "we wish for you to do many activities in Japan" and "I feel healed when I see you", so I feel that I want to work harder.

Bamby: I think that my motive for studying Japanese harder was to be able to communicate better with PLLIs in Japan. By doing so, I think that there will come a day when I can communicate more freely. That anticipation for such a day to come has grown even more.

Eunho: We sometimes visit Japan in order to meet PLLIs in Japan, and I feel immensely grateful at the warm welcome. 1 year has passed since our Japan debut. While this 1 year feels short, I think that the bond between our members and with PLLIs have become even stronger and closer.

Hamin: I'm stimulated anew everytime every time we do a concert. I feel that PLLIs' cheers and our voices come together to harmonise beautifully. Each time the memories with everyone accumulate, I feel that our story, our narrative becomes even

more perfect.

Q. Was there anything particularly memorable during your activities in Japan? Please share with us if there were any unforgettable messages.

Yejun: Because we are singers who sing and dance, it really touches us deeply when PLLIs in Japan say that they were "moved" by our singing and dancing. It makes me feel that I have to work even harder.

Noah: I recall a message that I received from a PLLI in Japan. "Even though we are usually far apart, I feel so happy that you always communicate with us as if we are always together, and that we can interact through music." I think that it will be nice to have opportunities to come into contact more frequently with PLLIs in Japan.

Q. From the a cappella track "Blossom Parade" to the impressive rock sound of the title song "Born

Savage", the 4th Mini Album 'Caligo Pt.2' represents PLAVE's high musicality. Please share with us behind the scene stories or challenges of the production process.

Eunho: We made it with the thought that we wanted to show an even more developed side of ourselves compared to 'Caligo Pt.1'. The a cappella track "Blossom Parade" was a first attempt even for us. It was because our team has the mentality to always try new things, we can attempt such challenges. As expected, the recording took a considerable amount of time. Because of course, we had to express everything well with only our voices. Though it was hard, I think that we did a great job. And the title song was also favourably received, I'm grateful to hear that the album this time recorded a career high for us. I think that it was thanks to the efforts of everyone involved in the production, and of course PLLIs, and all the members. I feel truly overwhelmed.

——Please tell us your favourite word from the lyrics of the title song "Kakurenbo" in JP 1ST SINGLE "Kakurenbo".

I like the word "unchanging thing". To have something that doesn't change even if time passes by, it's really heartwarming and reassuring. Especially when I see things like feelings and trust not changing easily and enduring for a long time, I feel like I gain immense strength through that. That's why I feel that they are much more precious.

——When do you wish for people to listen to "Kakurenbo"?

I think that it'll be nice to listen to "Kakurenbo" during a quiet dawn or when walking alone. As the guitar solo and gentle melody slowly wrap around your heart, so I feel that it is a song that would be absorbed in even deeper during those moments when you feel somewhat hazy. On a day when you'd like to calm your emotions, I'd like you to quietly add it to your playlist.

——Please share your thoughts on the Japan debut showcase.

When we first revealed our "Kakurenbo" performance at

the debut showcase, I recall feeling touched at the loud cheers from PLLIs who filled the venue. We approached it wanting to show PLLIs that "We prepared this much!" and let them hear the songs that we prepared. And upon seeing the venue filled with PLLIs before us, while thinking "We've actually made it this far", I was able to focus even more on the performance thanks to the loud cheers.

——What activities do you wish to try doing in the future?

I heard that "Kakurenbo" earned number 1 on various charts of Oricon Ranking and Billboard JAPAN. This has motivated me to work harder and create opportunities to meet PLLIs at a big concert venue in Japan. And as I have loved Japanese songs since I was young, I would like to try collaborating with famous Japanese artists to create music.

——You will be holding a concert in Japan too, what sort of concert will it be?

We plan to hold a concert in Japan as part of the latter half of our Asia tour. As it is our first solo concert in Japan, we are very much looking forward to it. We are doing our utmost in preparation so that we can meet PLLIs through various songs and performances, so

please look forward to it.

—— Please share what Yejun places importance on in your work.

I think that sincerity and perfection are important. In order to not inconvenience the people around me, I always stick to appointments thoroughly, and in order to create a perfect song, I grasp well each members' vocal characteristics, and consider the assigning of the most compelling parts for those who are listening. It is not easy, but I believe that doing so can create something that satisfies everyone.

——Please tell us 3 items from the "Yejun user manual".

・I look quiet, but once we become familiar I'm more talkative than anyone else, so please approach slowly.
・When I need to recharge my senses, I go for walks alone, listen to music.

The Japanese word I like is "saba" (mackerel). I learnt it

recently and am using it well during mealtimes etc.

Evening walks. When I have too much on my mind, I take walks through the quiet streets at night while listening to music. As I walk slowly along familiar streets, I feel my complex emotions gradually being organised. Such times are extremely healing for me. And sometimes through communication apps, I also take walks together with PLLIs, each of us in our own location.

A. Noah said they listened to a lot of J-POP, Japan is famous for its band sound, so they listened a lot for research. They worked on blending their own signature band sound with J-POP, he thinks it came out well, and that people in Japan enjoys it. Normally you don't think of choreography with band sound as it's difficult, but this time they incorporated dance inspired by anime. Anyone watching can probably think of those anime.

Noah's favourite J-POP song is Aimyon's Marygold. Hamin, in-charge of choreography with Bamby, referenced Spirited Away and Your Name for Kakurenbo's choreography.

Radio host congratulated on their JP debut. Yejun said it still feels surreal, but he felt a bit that it is real when he saw so many PLLIs at the showcase event. Eunho said it feels like a dream. But it starts to feel real everytime they do activities like appear on shows or radio programmes.

On how they approach self-producing songs: Yejun said usually do it quite freely, and memo any ideas that come to mind - be it recording on their laptop or their phone. (Eunho said it'll be a headache if they lose it 😂)

On Kakurenbo: Eunho said they wanted to create a J-POPish song since it's their debut, so they listened to a lot of J-POP songs for research (even to the point of listening to it throughout the day). While also incorporating their own band sound.

A. They know Kyoto. Previously they shared that: Noah likes sweet stuff, he's addicted to chocolate cake. Eunho is addicted to FPS games, and destresses when playing it.

As for now: Noah said when he commented previously, he was living recklessly without any consideration. But recently he's been exercising (weight-training), so he's restraining himself when it comes to food. Eunho said he loves noodles, especially udon. So when he heard about their Japan debut, he thought he should try more types of udon and became more interested. So he wants to hear the radio host's recommendation and his favourite udon.

Radio host recommended tsurutontan (which is really famous; Eunho really likes it) as well as cold udon since it's summer.

On Kakurenbo: they are self-produced idols but for this JP single they didn't write the lyrics, rather they communicated what message they wanted to

convey in their lyrics. And they listened to a lot of J-POP in order to figure out how to blend J-POP with their signature band sound.

Eunho said it was an honour to work with UTA. They shared the guide + lyrics concept + title to UTA, explaining in Korean. UTA grasped it well and wrote fitting lyrics in Japanese. Though they couldn't work directly together since they live in Asterum, it was still really memorable.

Noah really thanks UTA, and said their JP single releases on 9 July, please support lots. Eunho said UTA came for their debut showcase and thanks him.

On their debut showcase: Noah said he was really nervous and even slipped up on the lyrics, and ended up murmuring. He still isn't used to Japanese lyrics, that's probably why he froze up and said words neither Japanese nor alien language, so it's regrettable. But he was happy to have met the fans in Japan.

Noah said that they focused on making the song easy-listening, with a band sound as the foundation. As for lyrics, it should have a message to the fans. For Kakurenbo, Noah listened to a lot of J-POP, especially Aimyon's Marygold, he thinks it's a really good song. He even listened to it today on the way here. When he listens to Marygold, he can see scenes which crossovers with his own. So he

wanted to create a worldview in Kakurenbo just like Marygold does for him.

Bamby said for choreography, he wanted fans to be able to see the details and know their significance, by inserting their story into the dance. Even if fans are not able to recognise, the dance should still look cool to them. As for Kakurenbo, he watched a lot of JP anime and incorporated those scenes into the performance.

Hamin said he was greatly influenced by JP anime, and paid attention to the words in the lyrics and how it would be influenced in actions. For example, when reading a book you could do it standing up or lying down. So he pays attention to each action to create the details.

Yejun said PLAVE's sensibility is thoroughly incorporated in Kakurenbo, from lyrics to MV to stage performance. The theme of "Kakurenbo" is deeply incorporated into the song, so he hopes one can pay attention to that when listening/watching.

Q. Please tell us your thoughts about your Japan debut

Bamby: This is Bamby. PLAVE has finally released our Japan 1st single "Kakurenbo". We are truly thankful. Whether everyone likes it or not, thinking about how their reaction will be like, after all this is the first time, I was half-worried and half-excited, but fortunately PLLIs really like the song, stage and even MV. I'm really happy each time I see PLLIs so happy.

Hamin: Actually we are aliens from another world called Asterum, so I was worried if there were many people in Japan or not who would like us. But upon singing at the showcase, the PLLIs in Japan warmly received us. I still can't believe it. And I want to study Japanese more and do more activities in Japan.

Q. Please tell us more about your group name PLAVE.

Bamby: PLAVE is made up of the English word

"Play" and the French word "Rêve", it contains the meaning of fulfilling our dreams through music and stage, as well as to create even more dreams.

Q. Is it difficult to communicate with PLLIs since you are so far away from Earth?

Hamin: We are always nervous, and happy.

Bamby: It isn't as difficult as I thought it would be. And we work hard in order to communicate the best we can. And PLLIs always show interest. And recently there are many ways to communicate so it isn't impossible.

Q. How does Bamby see Hamin?

Bamby: Hamin is a person--alien that PLAVE definitely needs. And he is a reassuring maknae. And he reads between the lines and takes care of each member, when I see that he doesn't seem like the youngest and it amazes me. On the other hand, he really likes to be praised. So

when you praise him, he immediately shows a happy face which makes him seem like a baby and that's cute.

Q. How does Hamin see Bamby?

Hamin: Bamby is someone with a really flexible way of thinking. Often he quietly spaces out, but actually he is observing something or thinking hard of ideas. And when he is thinking during such times, he also takes care of me, or relies on me during tough times, which I am very thankful.

Q. (To Bamby) Do those ideas you think of influence the choreography you come up with?

Bamby: Yes that's right. I make it all point to always turn on my idea switch, and I also create the choreography while discussing with Hamin.

Q. (To Hamin) What's a Japanese word that you learnt recently?

Hamin: Omotenashi (hospitality). The Korean

equivalent is 대접 (daejob).

Q. And your favourite food is ramen. How is the ramen in Japan?

Bamby: It's delicious.

Hamin: The more I eat it, the more delicious it is.

Q. There are various flavours like tonkotsu, shoyu, shio.

Both: We like everything.

Q. I heard that Japanese ramen shops have increased in Korea.

Both: Yes that's right.

Q. Is there a delicious way to eat-- or your favourite way to eat?

Q. Were there any memorable episodes that happened during recording?

Hamin: I have one! During recording, when I sang "te o nobasu hodo", the falsetto for "te" wasn't going well and I spent more than a day on it. Just that part alone.

Eunho: I, Eunho, also have an episode. In "nandome no Good Bye", "nando" and before going into "me"! On "nando-" Yejun and Noah gave advice on how to somehow sound cooler by including this sound.

Hamin: Ooh~ breathing sound!

Eunho: I was able to record it even cooler.

Noah: I have one too. There is "hitotsuzutsu" in my lyrics..."zutsu" was extremely difficult.

Bamby: The pronunciation is difficult isn't it

Noah: I remember that it took a lot of time to continuously sing "zutsu".

Yejun: I have one too! What I want to say is that, the recording for this song took extremely long. If I were to explain the reason, it's because we each caught a cold one by one.

Aah~ that's right!

Bamby: We caught a cold.

Yejun: That's why it was long. Looking back it has become a memory too.

Bamby: If I were to talk about an episode, the recording room was hot, so I recorded again after taking off my clothes, that was interesting.
