Part 1: My FO is 13, but I was around 13 when I fell in love. I was so in love that I aged them up as I became older. Nobody cared to listen to context and said I was a pedo. It hurt that context didn't matter.

one of my f/o's gets mischaracterized in his own fandom wiki and it just really annoys me. its not like the information in it is necessarily wrong but they leave out a lot of really important details and quotes. and it just. ogouthrthitrhnj. kill kill killl murder

The block button is always everyone's best friend! Also, you need to just be yourself. And if that means you post a lot... well that's fine! If someone else thinks you're a tryhard, that's a them problem tbh! They have the block button too in any case!

i love posting about my yumeship and drawing my f/o, but at the same time im worried that i'll come across as trying too hard to be "THE ____ yume". i dont intend to be competitive, i just like sharing my art with my moots!!

cont. but reading other people's posts about feeling insecure seeing doubles becoming "the ___ yume" in the fandom got me wondering how I'd feel in this situation. In any case, it's best to block someone if they make you feel uncomfortable <3

If people ignore you, despite saying they're open to make new friends, maybe it's time to try to find different friends...

Small vent: one of my friends is close with another person ive tried to befriend. Then my friend posted a friend post and tagged them in it, while my DMs have been left ignored for a month. Have I been ghosted? It hurts to see the attention bias

The thing about others saying theyre 'open for DMs', I always thought it implies they don't mind others hopping in with deep dark topics, but I can't do that. Cont

DMs cont. I need to know the person first. By chatting with them in DMs and interacting with their posts. But most people fail the DM stage because I'm made to carry the whole convo. I cannot feel comfortable with deep dark topics when I don't know the person enough!

DMs cont. Trying to DM either gives me dry talkers, or ghosting. Sorry, its really hard for me, am I picking the wrong people 😢

i have a huge problem with fake fans of my f/o. They appear in multiple media but people only try the most recent one and call themselves fans while only caring about a part of the story... I can't with such posers!

Same anon, same! But yumeship is about comfort, and that is paramount! Never force yourself to do things you aren't comfortable with! I can suggest trying to find moots with different f/os from the same media, so you can share with someone who knows what you're talking about without jealousy^^

sometimes i wish i were more sharing, having someone to talk to about your f/o and sharing your love sounds fun in theory!! but i cant help but feel threatened or jealous so i have to block doubles and avoid them 😭

I can agree with anon on this one. I too feel like most people aren't interested in mutual knowledge, just likes for themselves.

This is a vent; why do so many people not know how to carry conversations nor initiate? I'm happy to initiate but I feel like many of the people I approach take my interest for granted... Most don't know my niche fandom or f/o either but I don't see any effort to know them or me. It hurt

Continued vent: I put in the effort to start conversations, I put in effort to search up their interests at the cost of my own, and try to talk about what they like. I barely see returns. I know only one person who indirectly let me know theyre not open for friends.
