the blues feel nice, I was quite happy with them, especially murmuring. I think you need a much bigger usurp package to consider sinspeaker or extra sinchants. I don't really like the usurp cards, they are pretty inefficient, murmuring and cullingsong are the main ones I believe in.

Heres the Viserai deck I took to a 47th place finish at Calling 100! I was quite impressed with the deck and felt like many of my losses were winnable had I found this build sooner and had more time to practice, learn matchups and refine my own play. Content on it coming soon!

neither really. I felt like I was in a reasonable spot on both sides of the turn order because of armor + disruption but playing the vis side optimally is tricky. Going second does seem good on average but I think it's mostly needing to know how to play it.

I lost twice to cindra. One I had full tempo then had a runeblade hand but missed a blocking opportunity early which I think would have let me play the game a bit different and close it anyways. Other loss to her was very close and I made several mistakes.

I got some good matchup luck for sure, Levia is favored for Vis and i played 4. Although honestly the deck went through enough evolution over the past week that i still don't know his matchup spread. The deck is very tough to play and to build. But also feels so rewarding when you get things right

please ban this card because it's preventing me from interacting with my hero textbox? I also think ripple on flurry vs hala or vs puffins cogs is absurd. in all these cases it usually just completely ends the turn. So yeah, I -DO- think instant bb3 time walk is ban worthy. Sorry for the hot take

I also really think the fatigue piles that masquerade as different heroes but all play the same ~40 cards could stand to lose something. They just have 0 interest in actually resolving more than 1 or 2 cards in their deck and feel so homogenous.

I've been loving viserai, but please ban ripple away. The card has steadily been creeping up in how effective it is and fully stopping Viserai's turns just feels egregious for a blue block 3. Potentially losing go again, 3 cards and up to 3 banishes is too much for an instant bb3

It was about 1.5 hrs, possible to play it faster but I prefer not to rush during untimed rounds. Game revolves around me pushing enough damage to empty his hand and then dealing arcane on his turn. I think I needed to block a bit more so I had enough life to do this process one more time

Ended up making top 8 on spellscilio in Calling Kansas City this weekend! 5-2 day 1 into 10-2 day 2 lost quarters to teklo I could have played better in all my losses but still happy with the weekend considering I've been taking some downtime from fab. Opened good too!

Playing PT Vegas with a huge recent CC shakeup confirmed what I've been feeling for a while. I'd really love for tier 4s to come closer to set release. It opens much more room for exciting rogue decks and deckbuilding edges. It also helps limited feel fresh.

Credit where credit is due. Usurp the Shadow Throne is extremely exciting and exactly what I've been yearning for. Viserai has a powerful and compelling hero textbox in a way that feels very nostalgic to early FaB, Malice also seems inspired. Looking forward to Seoul!

Ended up 9th at the pro tour after losing several win and ins, one my fault and the others not so much. Overall very happy to have such a great run and quite proud of my play but disappointed to not convert the 10-1 start.

It kinda all comes back to rate imo. There are your turn oscilio decks you can play, they just aren't very efficient. I also think pure arcane oscilio winning/topping multiple Nationals despite being a bit below rate shows how powerful arcane damage is and why there's a premium on the effect.

I think it's a tough thing to balance. Arcane and on opponents turn effects kind of need to be below rate because they circumvent a lot of fundamental rules of the game (hard to block and win a turn cycle ahead). If these effects are truly on rate they are likely broken

It feels like it might be a bit of an overcorrection if they purposely try to make heroes not too strong because of LL. The multiplier system seems to have done a good job on that, I think Gravy is a great example of a hero who came out hot but gave them time to bring him in line.

It also feels bad from a content perspective. Multiple times after doing well with a hero and spending a lot of time on it, there are already bans on the hero before I get to share my work with people. I love fab still, Omens draft has been a blast but CC feels like a slog rn 2/2

I miss LSS designing powerful heroes and having a less aggressive ban policy. Almost every deck I've played the last 2 years has ate bans or LLed and especially with a few weaker sets in a row I am starting to feel like I have to really dig to find something fun to play. 1/2

Home from Yokohama, what a whirlwind! I went in to the event feeling pretty exhausted and had no expectations for myself then somehow almost won. Sad to have been so close but not quite get there, but also extremely proud of myself. The whole trip still feels like a dream.
